I don't see how those are inappropriate? All animals can be male or female (hence they go into both), they don't really have a moral alignment (hence neutral), and the Standard Format for Character Profiles says to always put the Characters category on those pages.
Generic species profiles should preferably not be defined with any specific gender, as they can have either, as you say, and real world profiles are a bit different in that they are not fictional, and as such do not qualify as characters.
Ditto for "neutral characters". Animals do not adhere to human morality, just the laws of nature, so it seems inappropriate to define them in this manner.
We two don't started our relationship in this wiki very well. I'm not here to start another discussion but to try to know you better.
When I first created Goliath Birdeater among other Real World pages like Mongrel Dog, I was sure that using the official name of the Tarantula was a good idea, I'm still belive that. Golitah Birdeater comes from Golitah Comepajaros and also its official name in spanish is Tarantula Goliath, the english name is only a translation from the official name of the spider.
Anyway I know this wiki is english based but hey at least the page had a spanish name for 2 years until now.
