It was quite a while ago. I don't do much profile editing at all, but it did cross my mind. Still, while I don't edit profiles much, I do like to help out with revisions, & have sometimes even done very simplistic calc-ing.
So if you wanna start any revisions, I'd love to be alerted about them! Also, I do remember seeing the episodes on Youtube. If they're still there, shouldn't be too hard to hammer out a profile.
Mind you, though, it may be worthwhile to get other members to help, too. Willing as I am, I'm lazy, often distracted, & inexperienced with editing. (Plus dunno if any specific Marvel standards apply here.)
Alright, thank you & good luck! I'd love to know about the progress, & I'd bet I'm not the only one, so I know I'd like it if you made a thread for discussion of the series & creation for profiles & such. No need to make or post in a thread if you don't want to, though.
My apologies about the editing mistakes & my super late replying here. I don't edit often, & so I hadn't realized that abbreviating the urls was so critical.
Also, I notice that one of your edits... I think it changed an image size? I don't recall editing the image's size or position. If I did, my apologies. What happened with the image?
Nonetheless, I hope you will forgive me if, in the future, I edit that page further.
https://vsbattles.fandom.com/wiki/User:Imaginym/Sandbox As you can see in my Sandbox, Equinox's profile proper somehow hasn't had his render for Equinox-Prime included (I wonder if that dash is part of the official spelling of his name?) & I may need to calculate AP for his base form later, as well as to make calculations for Equinox-Prime's non-Universal AP (In the event that he's downgraded or that he could be an "At least X, likely 3-A" case or such, as his Universal tier is based on several statements & an assumption. (Although, I'm sure you know that him being Universal had been discussed, & I think, approved.)
Hey, I remember seing somewhere that you were interested in making profiles for JLA. I made a draft of possibly the safest character in the show. Next one is gonna be Zatanna. I may need some help to find feats for heavyhitters like Superman and Wonder Woman
I've seen it. And in fact, I have made a BTBatB profile... but I forgot to finish a revision-approved edit months ago. <//< Yes, shame on me.
If you'd like, I could link you the relevant topic so you can look at relevant discussions.
I am REALLY bad when it comes to work ethic for making & editing profiles, but I'm happy to help with feat finding & discussion. May be able to calc simpler stuff, too. But calc group members should be asked first before you resort to me.
You're the opposite of me, then. I love editing, but I'm horrible at feat fiding, since that implies actually watching the verse. I have been working on a FLCL CRT for over a month since I haven't finished the series, and FLCL is only 6 episodes long. So if you give me the feats I'll make those profiles at Wally speed.
How does Wally rank as a Flash in speed again? Well, I'm going to be taking an afternoon nap in a moment, but, even though it's been a few weeks since seeing the shorts & episodes my terrible memory DOES recall a feat for Supergirl.
Not to call them weak -they are by comparison, but their feats aren't presented as memorably, IIRC- but I have trouble remembering the feats of other heroes, as great as the feats of the girls, villains & boys are.
Kara, fed up with a game, throws a basketball. It recoils off a basket, a ceiling lamp, wall pipes, a Whack-a-Mole game, bursts through the roof with a flaming tail, hits Superman (Who doesn't even notice.), hits the head of a criminal demanding all a shop's burritos, hits the moon (And moves it very slightly, too!), then ricochets back to Earth, surviving re-entry with what appear to be multiple sonic booms, & creates a dusty explosion when it lands back in the arcade.
The game runner is able to react to this enough to scream before it lands, seeing the ball through the hole in the roof.
The ball lands (Or rather, the explosion indicating its landing happens) at 2:01 or 2:02, roughly.
The arcade is mostly undamaged aside from holes in the floor & the worker's game being wrecked.
So yeah, TL;DR - Angry civilian form Supergirl (Kara Danvers) throws a basketball, it hits flying Superman (Who doesn't notice.), bounces all over the city, bounces off the moon (moving the moon slightly.), survives re-entry, & soon after, returns to the arcade from where she threw it, making a slightly destructive explosion.
Well, the episode #SuperWho (where Supergirl tries to prove she's better than Supes) is filled with feats, such as Supergirl punching an asteroid and Supes lifting the golden globe of the Daily Planet.
Those feats, while not likely to be their highest feats, I assume, they're probably notable, if only for establishing what's most consistent. The basketball feat is probably somewhere in Tier 7, maybe Tier 6 if accounting for moving the moon slightly.
Punching an asteroid depends on the size, & the Daily Planet's globe, while likely a good LS feat, could depend not only on size, but hollowness.
So let's see.... If I state an AP yield, I'm just guessing at the yield, but....
A speeding armored vehicle being stopped and crumpled by colliding with Superman's palm probably won't get higher than Small Building Level.
Supporting a train going over your back is probably one or more of lifting strength (Supporting the train's weight going over your body.) & durability. Maybe stamina, too. Probably needs a calculation to know the yield, but I doubt it'd be higher than the KE yield of the train moving, whatever that is.
Superman lifting the train is probably just as, if not more impressive than the DP Globe, although it's a bit odd that despite dangling vertically, the other cars stay attached by the couplings; As he's only holding up one car, some of the lifting might just be attributed to the train couplings withstanding the weight of the other train cars.
During the burning building scene, Kara appears to fly in from close to ground level, going to a high floor of the building.
Supposedly, other sources assert a story as being only 3 meters. In any case, we don't see which exact floor Kara goes into, but she does pause her flight near the two highest floors, & enters a floor that has one floor above it, so 2nd highest floor seems likely.
I can't see the bottom of the building, but I can see that counting one column of windows, there's 12 windows, vertically.
Meaning she flew from roughly ground level to the 11th floor (or higher if there were floors below the large shot of the building.) in about the time from 0:56 to 0:57, or about 1 second.
So depending on if you use 3 or 4.3 meters per story, she moved 33 to 47.3 m/s. It's probably a little higher because her flight path was a wide "C" or sideways "U" shape; She probably flew more distance than a straight line would take, & a distance of 33 to 47.3 m/s only accounts for how high she went; It doesn't account for horizontal distance she crossed approaching the building.
So yeah, Kara Danvers is very close to, if not AT LEAST Subsonic (Faster than the Eye) , which is a speed range varying from 34.3 to 171.5 m/s. She's probably got feats of going faster, though.
Superman lifts a water tower might be impressive. It has a small, visible leak. Also, since he's above a burning building during daytime, the water may be slightly less dense. But it should still be somewhere between 997 to 1,000 kilograms per cubic meter, or so I've read.
A calc might be interesting.
The meteorite needs a calc. Also, it could be that some of it burned up, but its size is inconsistent; It easily dwarfs Kara when we first see it, but when she tosses it aside, it's barely longer than she is tall.
Superman throwing the DP Globe might be impressive, depending on hollowness.
Infuriatingly, most info on school bus weight is for the Gross Vehicle Weight Rating, which includes passenger & cargo. It looks like a Type A since it only has 4 windows. A Type A-1 isn't given a minimum weight, just an upper end so I dunno if it's supposed to be 0 or 14,500 lbs! However, they do give minimums for Type A-2 busses.
The average of those minimums is 12,250 lbs. 5,556.50653 kilograms. Assuming a Type A-2 bus, at least into the low, Class 10 Lifting Strength.
Probably a bit higher since she can fly while carrying the bus. Note that this casual LS feat probably isn't her peak; The meteorite probably weighs much more, although she did struggle with that.
1 stick of dynamite usually yields about one megajoule. Or 1 million joules. I count 5 sticks of dynamite. Kara's nervous but not damaged. Good thing, too, because Wall Level peaks at 20,920,000 joules; 5 million joules isn't even 25% (One quarter) of that! Lol, Wall Level Durability Supergirl would be embarassing.
The flight speed after Superman takes off from the tree is HARD at best to quantify. His takeoff is way slower than his flight, & while the clouds whip by, we don't know their size (Finding even a range for which is a lot of work.) & even if we knew the cloud's sizes, not knowing their distance throws things off.
If you have video of their fight, that may provide other notable feats.
Kara punches Superman into a building from above the roof, he punches her through a smokestack.... There's a good speed feat at around 4:08... but without knowing the distance, not very quantifiable. Given that & him not being harmed by her basketball feat, I'd say he has better AP/Durability.
(Note: I've read the monster's name is Chemo on the Wiki, based on a Tweet.)
Superman punching Chemo was either slow to be showy, or Kara was going massively faster than his uppercut. Civillians don't seem to notice her heroics, so she's definitely going faster than the eye, too. So Kara MIGHT be faster, unless Supes was holding back?
She claims it's "20 quintillion times more corrosive than sulfuric acid" & that "if Superman hits him, it'll reduce Metropolis to a smoking hole in the ground".
Given that Chemo is made of chemicals, there may be an ability for Supergirl being able to physically make contact with him. Also, there's the matter of Bumblebee's claim vs real world science. But can't just disregard statements.
This isn't a proper calc, but Kara carries Chemo to.... Well, it seems to be above the Earth. It's atmosphere? Above the clouds?
It takes her like, 2.5, maybe 3 seconds? Most sources say space begins at about 62 miles, 100 km or 99.7793 km, depending on your source.
Taking the low end timeframe, & calculating ignoring environmental factors, that's 3 seconds for 100,000 meters, or roughly 33,333.33 meters per second. A little over Mach 97. High Hypersonic+ & a few meters per second short of Massively Hypersonic.
The explosion from her heat visioning Chemo, I'm not sure if it can be quantified. We'd need to know the distance or the size of something very close to the explosion, & it doesn't seem like there's anything there.
From what I've seen on Discord, MAYBE the vaporization of chemicals (In part, hydrogen chloride & antimony pentafluoride) is applicable, but that's a whole calc of its own.
I have something to discuss with you (Hint: It's Hello Kitty) and if you want to hit me up, look for me on Facebook (via Bobiscan's Facebook) or somewhere else in private. I'm always definitely up for a good one-on-one chat.
But the problem is like you just stated, the messages will not be permanently saved nor stored. My reason for requesting a private conversation is simple: Privacy. Duh. To talk about versus stuff that I don't exactly want anyone else to view or share.
I mean, Facebook isn't much more private, but.... Well, it disheartens me that you distrust the users of VSBW so much, but.... Hmm.... Well, if I used email, I wouldn't be in the same conversation as Bobiscan.
Looking into things, how about I see about chatting on Facebook using an account I made for other purposes for there? If you need proof it's me, I can screenshot my Fandom user interface to prove -from that FB account- I'm Imaginym when speaking on FB.
Alien Dual Blaster wrote: You'll use that FB account just to communicate with me and Bobiscan in private. Bobiscan told me this afternoon that he is currently busy with homework btw.
I would prefer you not try to police my FB account useage. Especially considering I've done other things with it. I will try to oblige your request for me to use it to communicate in private.
Your intense need for privacy from VSBW still baffles me, as the only reason you've given me is you want privacy, but I don't understand WHY you don't want people from this site viewing or sharing the contents of our communication. Surely they don't seem THAT untrustworthy to you?
Don't you worry your little head, Imaginym, I have no intentions to police your FB account in any way, since I'm not an online policeman of some sort.
Perhaps I didn't elucidate myself earlier, my reasons for desiring communication in privacy is not based on my distrust or suspicion to the people of this site, but rather I can be a bit of a ranter sometimes and when I rant and rave about things, I just choose to not make a public scene out of it.
Thanks, let me know when you're up and ready, dude.
That said, I'm quite sure it's fine to rant & rave here abouts. I know I & many other users can get quite verbose. You probably won't be looked down upon so long as you conduct yourself mostly reasonably, which you seem to have done so far.
IMHO, for something like this, the need for privacy feels unnecessary to me, & I wish we didn't have to do it.
It's just that when I rant about whatever certain series or characters I see being debated here, I have some tendencies to get kinda touchy and even appear a tad overemotional over their tiers and rankings and how they're underestimated/overestimated and what have you. And you know I'm not the kind of person who likes having outbursts in public. So I like to keep my true emotions and sentiments about certain things in private.
I understand how you feel on your end about this. I just didn't want to sound like a dude who's only fame to claim is endless nagging.
