Nothing serious. Just some serious whipplash from that conversation. I normally respect Neo as a Debater, because he can do some incredible logical work. Seeing his calcs, which were so disconnected from the actual series and so devoided of reasons made me confused as hell. Imagine talking to Antvasima for example, we all know how he conducts himself. Now suddenly he starts spamming incoherent, racist things. If that would have been a troll you go "Yeah whatever, ban and moving on." But its a different matter when it comes from someone you normally respect.
Hell, i dont follow Neo activily at all. The stuff i sometimes see from him i approve most of the time, or i find it logical at least.
This is no excuse though, i know i was being immature in that thread. Thats why i accepted ending it on his post (Which might look like i took an lose if you know what i mean). Because i could have plucked into that post like there is no tomorrow. But like i said. He considers me in denial, i consider him in denial. No matter how reasonable and well we might have argumented, we woudnt have changed each others position at all. Its pointless.
Well Witchy, for your information i seen some of the peoples i respected either in this wiki, other wiki, or outside of the wiki/othet sites, turned out to be like a arrogant/a**hole/elitist, hell one of them was my closest friend when i still young here (Primaris Brian), sometime reality hurts but you just need to brace yourself and cold your head when dealing with this kind of stuff, that what i got recently after consulted to my friends in FGO wiki
As for your excecuse in that thread, i can see why you being ao immature but remember that you are also the eldest guy in this place, you know how to do better than us the younglings
Zach what do you want. I am pretty sure you asked me that already. Like the dozen other question you repeatedly keep asking me. If its small talk you want, then dont keep asking me this asinne questions that all, for god knows what reason, seems to involve your freaking preferences.
Right, Alter Ego. Small, sweet and short VN you can read for free on your phone. Its artificially lengthend by being a tap game but its only noticeable on your first time.
The story takes place in a strange and esothoric place called the Inquiry, a seemingly infinite hallway and the Library, a small room disconnected from the Inquiry (both being seemingly disconnected from reality itself). At the beginning, you meet Ego Rex, the ruler of the Inquiry, who tells you to meet Es, best girl, in the library. Before Rex leaves though, they tell you not to be lead astray by Es when you meet her.
Es is in the Library and carries the entire narrative as the only one activly talking, with Rex being bareley there and the protagonist being a silent protagonist outside of choices and remarks that are only noticeable because Es talks about them.
At first it seems to be a story about discovering yourself, the VN features multiple psychological tests to help you discover yourself (Which often than not, do quite hit the mark if you answer honestly), but the story does switch up as you go on, uncovering what the world actually is, what Es' and Rex's role are and more importantly, what your role is in the story.
Everything below this is heavy spoiler territory and is required to appreciate why Es is such a great character, you are warned if you consider experiencing the game for yourself
To understand Es, you have to understand her role in the world, rudementary knowledge on Freud, the psychologist, basically spoils you that. Es is the personification of your Id, one of the 3 parts of your consciousness. Id stands for your primal instincts, desires etc. Bare of the logic that is represented by your Superego, another part of your consciousness.
So, Es represent the Id (Funfact, Es is the german word for Id), while Ego Rex represent the Superego, putting them in a constant state of conflict. Rex is a ruler, his only reason to exist is to bring logic and rules into the world, which is at odds with Es just wanting freedom.
One of the greatest problems rising from the conflict between Es and Rex stems from the fact that while Rex is fully aware of his position and role, Es isnt. Es cant recall when and why she came to be and is trapped in a small library, filled with books but nothing more. And at first that was fine for her, only yearning for some freedom subconsiouslly, as she didnt knew better. But this was enough for Rex to try to bend her, by constantly ordering her to comform to the rules in form of whispers tormenting her (Before you point at Rex, he has a somewhat justifiable reason to contain her and probably coudnt do better).
This conflict peeked when the protagonist entered the narrative, named by Es as The Wanderer. Because now Es starts to understand that she is confined, while Rex sees you as the final element to rule Es.
So, now to why Es is best girl. First of all, she is the greatest Cinnamon roll you will ever encounter. She suffers a penalty that she didn't deserve at all, but can't be lifted out of it either, due to her role and nature of existence. She isn't even aware of her being Id, for Es, its basically being confined in prison for your entire life, not even knowing why youre in the prison in the first place. But despite all of this, she endures it to the best of her abilites, because she has the Wanderer to ease her loniness. You are the only source of freedom for her, who only has books to learn about the world. This is especially crushing considering that no matter what you do, she cant escape her confintment.
Shes such a precious girl where you find genuine joy in making her happy, as the story is designed to make Es as real as possible.
This is just the surface though and you will understand it far better if you experienced it yourself. Its a natural attachment build through the story.
