That's some nifty stuff indeed. I remember hearing something about someone choking someone else despite them lacking the concept of the need to breathe and I was reminded of it when I heard about how Hassan forced the concept of death onto Tiamat.
And oh yeah, that was a Fair Folk. Fair Folk are more or less self sentient minds that inhabit True Chaos, a place of no defined space, time, distance, physical laws or anything close to it where they shape things to their desires and liking, imitating concepts from creation like a foreign intelligence seeing a book and recreating it in real life for fun, because seductions, betrayals, grand stories and the like grab them despite not really feeling the emotions in question.
They assume shapes when they come in creation since it is antithetical to their Shapeless nature, sucking their energy hella fast and calcifying them if they don't, but these are merely lies that assume similarities, like living wind wearing a human body, so they don't care for sleep or food or drink even if they partake of it as part of the narratives they live out. The Fair Folk in question said he'd go 200 years or something without breathing, but as Exalted kind of force the nature of reality on things, a Lunar Exalted was able to choke him.
That's another thing. Fair Folk are careless about the world because permanence and consequence is foreign to them. If two "fight", it is no more than a play, and the consequence of said fight a self imposed change the fair folk takes for amusement/as an oath as the losing side. Unless someone from creation, mainly an exalted, is the one doing the action. So now they don't act like they are choking to play along or because is kinda law he does as the losing dude, they are actually choking.
Realm of non-shape and absolute literal nothing and chaos, where all and nothing is and isn't at all times and everything is more or less unmanifested possibility.
Then the Primordials wake up, God-like entities. You don't know if they are Fair Folk that just formed different, completely unrelated, or whatever else. They wake up and create the shinma, underlying laws of everything that define stuff like space, time, fate and etc. Then they made a place with a shape to inhabit, tired of warring the fair folk that instinctively hated them due to being shaped beings.
Cutting a lot of stuff that happens later, we end with True Chaos or the Wyld which is the same empty place of pure potential. Creation which is kinda like our reality created by the primordials but on a flat plane, Malfeas which is the realm of demons made of the body of the king of the primordials after they were overthrown and imprisoned in there, heaven which is a continent sized sorta city/realm where all the Gods recide and where the Primordials originally recided, and the underworld which is a negative copy of Creation made after something in the universe went really wrong when Exalted of the past managed to kill a Primordial.
They needed stuff to make Creation work while they slacked off playing in the Jade Pleasure Dome, pretty much the best stop for pleasure and fun in the setting located in Heaven.
They are the anthropomorphic manifestations of everything and all, as there is a God for your spoon and favorite chair, there is one for War, the sea, specific mountains and cities, and the highest which are the gods of the sun, moon and the 5 constellations.
That's the funny thing, this part is weird. There is no normal space, there is an actual dome above, it is just so high up it is a bit ridiculous. And there are no gas giant stars, there are things embeded in the dome as each star represents the destiny of one person.
I do still need to check some other stuff because... someone mentioned a book talking about planets up there or something? It is a little but as far as I understand it, should be different to our sky.
Due to what happened and left the world as it is now, massively reduced and worn down, the Solars have Yurgen Kaneko, forming a big army on the icecold north.
The Lunars have the Elders of the Silver Path, their sorta society, most known being people like Ma-Ha-Suchi the kinda warlord, Lilith who exiled herself centuries and millenia ago from abuse, and Rari or however she was called, a Sorceress making her own kingdom in what was a massive and olden library.
Sidereals have the leaders of the dual factions of Bronze and Gold, with the Bronze leader called Chejop Kejak, the Exalted with the highest essence in 2e, and the Gold leader Ayesha Ura.
Dragon Blooded have the scarlet empress, the most powerful Dragon Blooded that we have any knowledge of, and any of the important people of her great houses, made of direct descendants of her and the descendants of those.
In its first form, creation was The Primoridials in Heaven, the Gods attending everything and keeping the fair folk out by patrolling the edges (The Sun and Moon did this mostly), and the race of Dragon Kings, Mountain Folks and humans. Dragon Kings were made by Gods, 300 million reptile-like beings that use biological and crystal based technology, and their powers are based on enlightment-like martial arts which they use to regain their memories as their souls are eternal and fixed in number, reincarnating once they die - they can also be sorta possessed by gods, letting them reach power similar to the lower level exalts, the dragon blooded. Mountain Folk are Fair Folk that get trapped in creation when the Primordials created it, one of the Primordials found their essense inside magical materials and e gave them form, so they became a sorta cross of elves and dwarves with grace, intelligence and super ability with technology and magitech, and their powers are centered around that. Humans existed and beat the Dragon king like... 1 to 20 in numbers? But had nothing.
Then the Gods get tired of being treated like trash, and with the help of two of the primordials, the Sun God, Moon Goddess, Constellation Goddesses and the primordial cut a fraction of their powers to make into "exaltations" which bind to a human soul, letting them grow in power - the Exalted. Primoridials geased Gods not to attack them so that's all they can do. Massive war, Dragon King numbers permanently lessened, tons of creation destroyed, Primordials get lessened to Yozis due to something I can explain if you want and sealed in the body of Malfeas, their king. Solars reign and guide Creation, the Gods take Heaven, Lunars are around helping, Sidereals become the advisors, Dragon Blooded like vassal houses at the attention of their solars.
Stuff stuff happens, Sidereals make a prediction of the future and see the Solars will either end all creation, they can talk with them about the reason and it MIGHT go well, or they can kill them and leave creation much reduced and working. They go for the surefire, convince the Dragon Blooded to help, surprise coordinated attack and they are all dead along with a bunch of Dragon Blooded, Lunars run to the edge's of Creation to remain safe, and there goes the Shogunate with Dragon Blooded on top and Sidereals controlling them from behind while there's a ton of backstabbing.
What they don't know is that a few of the dead solar souls stay in the Underworld, get empowered by Neverborn, the remains of undead Primordials, retain all their powers despite losing exaltations and get some more, and one of them weaponizes a literal void into a disease, 90% of everyone dies including dragon blooded, Fair Folk see this and make a massive incursion to finally destroy creation, a single dragon blooded stops all this getting through the million different traps for a super weapon of Creation that she uses to blow the Fair Folk to high hell, but Creation gets reduced immensely in size. 700 years happens and a number of places remian mostly whole and recover into different kingdoms and cities and stuff, main one being the Scarlet Empire, founded and maintained by the Dragon Blooded Soldier, a woman, that activated the super weapon, the main super power of the entire planet that lives in the continent at the center of Creation with a 600 km tall mountain in it, with the many descendants of her kids as the main families in charge. Solars are now coming back but centuries of forgotten stuff and propaganda now brand them heretical monsters and bringers of disaster.
Primordials are massively immense beings, in every sense of the word.
Meaning they have multiple souls that express and define multiple aspects of their beings, and those souls have each souls of their own that define aspects of their being because they are that spiritually immense.
But when you kill the fetish soul, the main soul that serves as foundation, the Yozi changes completely. As in, looks, powers, personality, perspective, and all 1st and 2nd order of souls. The process somehow seems to lessen them, so they got called Yozis hence forth.
Cool. That description makes me think of Adjuchas. (If Soul Reapers could selectively purify souls and purified the one that was the main Hollow in the Adjucha, that'd probably result in what happened to Yozis)
Is kinda like that, but instead of individual souls fusing together and eating other souls to increase in power, it is one complete being that is already so stupidly big of an existence that a single soul can't hold all of them, so it divides into 1st tier souls that are the most powerful, and 2nd tier souls that are significantly weaker but still pretty strong. A 2nd tier soul doesn't do much to the Yozi if it dies though, but it would affect it's related 1st tier soul.
As an idea of what I mean, one of the Yozi was originally the Dragon's Shadow, who defined itself to the nature of others to give himself meaning, so he literally engineered the Sun God by playing Malfeas, so the Sun God would be the literal manifestation of light, virtue and perfection to better contrast him. But when his fetich soul was killed, he became the Ebon Dragon, gained (kinda) more physicality and a body with volume, and different powers.
The Dragon Kings were all made by the Gods, which were all made by the Primordials, and they are more or less fully physical beings, like humanoid dinosaurs or the Lizardmen from Warhammer if you've ever seen them.
Nah, they aren't related just because of the Dragon in their name. The Dragon's Shadow was quite literally an animate shadow, which then became a miles long black dragon with many eyes when it's fetish soul was killed and he transformed into a different being.
Damn Dragon, I would never expect you to think such a thing.
The dragon is pretty cool, though. I think one of his powers was easily making shadowy copies of the thing he is fighting, with their stats and powers, then that copy uses the energy reserves of the enemy to fuel his own powers.
Let's see... the Ebon Dragon, the 5 elemental dragons but they aren't really big in the setting (they are kinda supposed to be the first order souls of the primordial that made Creation and who sided with the Exalted and Gods in their rebellion), the Dragon Kings I mentioned, the Unconquered Sun which is the god of the sun and he appeared as a four armed armored dragon as a tribute to the Dragon Kings when they were the predominant species, and the lesser and greater elemental dragons.
Like how every thing big and small has Gods, elements have elementals that take care of them. When an elemental has enough power though, they become Lesser Elemental Dragons, resembling the 5 Elemental Dragons (though they don't need to strictly look dragonic). 4 air lesser elemental dragons are even in charge of the winds in all 4 directions. Greater Elemental Dragons are the same but... essence 10, more or less the top of the power ladder. Imagine not so much powerful dragon things, and more living cataclysms and apocalypses that are just shaped like dragons. One of those is the Earth dragon known as the Kukla, and releasing him is the equivalent of setting off a nuke that would wipe Creation clean.
Seriously though, I love how throughout all forms of fictions, dragons basically consistently treated as awesome beings that can inspire dread and terror or charismatic humanoids that rule like kings.
The idea of a dragon is super varied too. In DxD, Dragons are beings that are just born from masses of energy and I just love that concept. Like, Great Red was born from dreams, Ophis was born from Infinity. It's not even just the big stuff, they can be born from the ground and rivers etc.
Man I could write several essays on why I love dragons.
When big scalies are a big deal through a ton of many times disconnected myths and folklore tales, it kinda earns them a cool reputation. Being big and stronk helps.
Personally I like just the imaginative liberties you can have when making dragons since they are so ubiquitous, kinda like vampires, which are also fucking varied in another game by the same company that made Exalted.
Should just go ahead and do it, let all your good feels run free.
Hades Concept is his Underworld. When he died (Or faded out of existence?) his Underworld (His concept) went with him. we later see him again in Episode G Assassins fending off an attack aganist Zeus while the Main Bronze Saints made Gold Saints fight Zeus. Though Zeus used an attack made to hit the Bronze made Gold Saints, but the secondary effects destroyed the underworld. This is simply to show that Hades did revive for this purpose. Also in the scene where Shura gets rescued. That happend within the Underworld which implies Hades revived..
Tsurubami asks Zenkichi to call him Bami. Then Tsurubami asks Zenkichi if he can call Zenkichi "Heat". Zenkichi then says "Heat or Bami, it doesn't really bother me.". The way I took it was that Zenkichi was okay with calling him Bami and being called Heat, not that Heat and Bami were nicknames that the two of them both had.
For supporting evidence, when we see them again ten years later, Zenkichi is calling Tsurubami Bami and Tsurubami is calling Zenkichi Heat.
