If I use Pashupata when the servants are grouped, can't it be an effective end to everyone who is delivered Moksha? From my understanding, it is an AoE affect. If it is, could put an end to this that way tbh.
I'm almost certain that Martial Blessing is better, it's mastery of all martial arts, allowing any of them to be used near the level of an NP. Baritsu is good, but it's much more limited in the styles it can use. Martial Blessing seems to be a big part of what lets someone like Rama who by all rights should be an Archer be summoned as a Saber.
Also I’m pretty sure radiation doesn’t affect servants, since non magic stuff just passes through them harmlessly. Also, I think nukes being basically worthless to them is mentioned somewhere. I wanted to write this in the EWtRtW threads, but they died.
So, general rule is that class skills are B ranked unless you sacrifice something for them to be ranked up or you’re a rider who requires the higher rank for their equipment/NP. A class with only one like Berserker can probably have a second one argued for though, but not at A+ rank.
Divinity should be fine, since we tend to base divinity off of divinity of NPs/characters of origin, and since God Hand and Andreias both basically make your body a divine construct, however giving you A rank might be too much, simply because you’re effectively amping up Andreias Amarantos beyond its standard abilities for free.
Is the theme something along the lines of “a god of the martial arts”?
I say a god of martial arts because your character is a genius at them, and has the immortality of a god.
The B ranked class skills is just a general rule we’ve had for all the Grail Wars, as for ME being A ranked, what downsides do you speak of? To my understanding, A rank is B rank, but slightly stronger and their master can fully reason with them.
Rank A: Rank up for all parameters, but most of one's reason is robbed
Rank B: Rank up for all parameters, but takes away most of sanity
From what I can tell rank A is worse than B.
Basically if I had rank A my character would simply take everything on with brute strength and fighting skill, meaning even if its a obvious trap or a lets say 1 v 4 situation id have to head in without thinking or hesitating.
I think I was mixing up different levels of ME. I see no other problems. Divinity’ll be up to the GM I guess.
You should come up with some backstory for your character. I feel his set up is perfect for some superbly badass legend. Guys that are hard to kill are perfect for stuff like saying they were never scratched in combat, or managed to fight x hours with dozens of fatal wounds. Maybe, since you have GH and AA he received 12 fatal wounds in his final battle, but still kept going, only to eventually die to a wound in his heel.
You could make it so that he wasn’t actually unharmable in his real past, but his skill was so great he was almost never wounded in battle, and when he finally was he continued on even with fatal wounds. But since he was never injured, those he fought alongside thought he was actually immortal, causing his legend to be spread as someone who had impenetrable skin and could only be killed after receiving 12 fatal blows and one to his heel.
What creates a servant isn't what really happened, it's what the world thinks happened. So if you had two conflicting stories being passed down on how he left his battles unharmed then both could theoretically be applied to a GW. For a story for the resurrection and reactive evo, something like him taking 12 fatal wounds to be killed, and not having received a single wound which was like the prior one might work(which again could work in the two different stories idea since it would be seen on one side as him being unable to be harmed by the same thing twice, and seen on the other as him adapting to the fighting style and never getting hit by it again).
I'm sorry if it feels like I'm trying to force an idea on you for this. If it does I'll stop.
Also I just realised that either you can reactive evo to having your heel stabbed, or your heel might be considered a weakness to all three immortalities.
Honestly getting around GH, V&V, AA and A+ BC will be hard to get around, though a big weakness will be my master since as im sure you know berserkers naturally take alot of energy to maintain but I also have 3 passive NPs
As for the story your not forcing it on me its just some brain storming (and it is an interesting idea).
EDIT Just thought of something, what if hes rumored to be the son of a god of war and his final battle is against an army of Templar Knights (This is for the whole needs divinity to hurt as he was never harmed until he fought great holy knights).
That sounds awesome, and works great! Though you may want to do something a bit more than simply templar knights, maybe their leader was someone who would later be deemed a saint, or the group was empowered by some divine artifact, since otherwise they might not even be worthy of E ranked divinity.
Sorry, I’m not sure. My guess would be that to reality warp something into existence it has to be an integral part of a mystery he’s looking into. I would assume that it wouldn’t actually let you do something like warping the materials you need to build something into existence, and would only be for stuff like solving crimes, locating people, stuff you’d see in a Holmes novel. But Monarch let Yobo do that in 1, and he has more knowledge of Fate than I do, so I’m not sure.
Also, obviously he doesn’t know where it is, and someone else could theoretically find it first (though they’d have to be even smarter than him, since he’d be searching and his NP would be passively bringing forth clues for him).
Yep. The 5th dimension and beyond were collapsed by the Old First prior to the events of the game (since we had verses like Magi, SCP, Masadaverse, and the big comic this includes even high 1B and 1A stuff) . Any structures within them were reduced to their 4 dimensional aspects.
If you have powers that come from a higher dimensional object or structure then that was object or structure was reduced to 2A aspects of itself, if you have powers that work on a higher D level but still come from you normally: those still work the same.
Also, tier 0s can quite simply be explained as not actually being tier 0 in our verse. They’re tier 0 because in verse they’re thought to have no limitations, but if you take them out of the context of their verse it’s possible that they were all just extremely high end 1As, that’s why it’s considered “questionable” omnipotence.
Pretty good. It's a school holiday for me so I get the day off ovo.
Do you know about the old-school Persona games then? Those are more like general SMT if I understand correctly. Those profiles are in need of revising too apparently, but the old games are outside of my expertise.
I thought your message was fine. The only thing I’d really say could be considered tone deaf was your part about Overlord’s word being final. Right before the current game event Monarch had learned that Overlord had created an NPC for the express purpose of killing him, and we’d been teleported into the current event when Monarch was about to fight that NPC. Then Overlord became GM, restricted his main power, and stopped him from using one of his abilities in the tournament. So he has the right to be a little skeptical of Overlord’s decisions imo.
Though I will say that it’s not actually as bad as I made it sound there, I was trying to describe it as I think Monarch sees it, but I do think he has the right to be a bit skeptical of some of Overlord’s decisions after being faced with a character designed to kill him.
But you were completely right about them seeming to be bickering for the sake of bickering. Those two have basically been bickering since the second or third thread out of 42 or so. This isn’t helped by the fact that every time the two have any complaint about anything,or any time anyone has a complaint about what they do they tend to start complaining about how OP one another are (Hl3 starts these more often).
Hell, earlier in that argument, out of seemingly nowhere Hl3 had started complaining about how OP Monarch used to be, and about how he was still too OP, and also stated that he was biased against Monarch because of this. Monarch then complains about Hl3 being OP, and the two have a strawman-off. This series of events has probably happened dozens of times now, at least one dozen.
I’m not in the discord, I don’t use discord very often in general
I see. I didn't know that'd happened. It's completely understandable for Monarch, or really any player for that matter to be skeptical of that decision then.
Hell, stuff like this is why I strongly advocated against players fighting each other in RW. Of course I'm not saying that that's the problem in and of itself, but coupling the tensions accumulated over dozens of threads with an abrupt change in GMs for one who USED to be one of the players is probably what led to some of the recent animosity.
In any case, I feel the need to apologize to Monarch...
