Summary
The ability to influence memory. Can be carried out using empathic, mental, biological, electrical or data manipulation. Furthermore the memory can be comprehended and controlled in other ways (e.g., by magic).
Possible Mechanisms
- Empathic manipulation: Affecting memory through emotions. Usually very limited and allows user to erase or distort existing memories only.
- Mental manipulation: Affecting memory through the consciousness/mind. Allows managing memory in a variety of ways, comprehending, modifying, deleting existing memories, as well as creating new memories.
- Biochemical manipulation: Affecting memory through brain cells, making it possible to manage memory. This may also include modification of memory by controlling the electrochemical signals of the brain.
- Information manipulation: In this case, the memory acts as a regular array of information. It can be accessed in a manner similar to accessing the hard drive of a computer.
