She is an operative of the Dark Side of Academy City, working under Director Neoka Norito. In combat she employs powerful Level 4 Telekinesis, which was modified to the point of having destructive power on Level 5.

Intelligence: Maidono is a capable agent of Academy City's Dark Side. She is experienced in the use of disguises during her missions to conceal her identity and blend into the background. As well as altering her color sample with wigs and contact lenses, she also uses thick makeup applied in a noticeable pattern to be seen through cameras and sensors in addition to the naked eye, so that facial recognition and photo sharing cannot be used to locate her official data. Making use of events with abnormal security routines (e.g. concerts, festivals, parades etc) and plenty of outsiders, she uses conspicuous costumes (such as a miniskirt santa outfit, the sort worn by a part-time worker, on Christmas Eve) which actually help her to blend into the background, allowing her to approach in plain view from the start while being overlooked and preventing people from remembering much by drawing their attention. She is also experienced in diverting her opponent's attention with conspicuous actions, in a manner compared to that of a stage magician, in order to accomplish her objectives, with multiple bluffs, escape routes and recovery scenarios prepared in case her tricks are seen through.

• Electronically-controlled rope: Maidono carries an object looking like bandage roll. It is a electronically-controlled rope, which can bind, constrict, and kill on its own. To use it all Maidono has to do is to toss it close to an opponent. It had originally been invented as a serpentine duct tape that could safely wrap around and seal off leaks in gas or steam pipes at accident sites that would be too dangerous for a person to approach.
• Telekinesis: Maidono is a Level 4 Esper whose ability is telekinesis. The power output of her ability is actually Level 5, but she is not ranked as such as her ability is too specialized in killing and destruction, having no alternate uses or economic value. Using her index fingers to aim her ability, Maidono can grab and move inanimate objects. By using both of her index fingers she can apply two different forces to an object in order to tear, compress or rotate it. Her ability works only on inanimate objects, but isn't limited to just solids. She can for instance also telekinetically move air to attack. The maximum weight limit of Maidono's ability is 100 thousand tons.
