Summary
The M739 Light Machine Gun, also known as the SAW (Squad Automatic Weapon), is an automatic weapon used by the UNSC Armed Forces. Designed and manufactured by Misriah Armory, the M739 is used in protracted engagements where sustained or suppressive fire is required. The weapon is fed ammunition by a 72-round belt in a drum magazine.
Appetite for Destruction is a special variant of the M739 Light Machine Gun with a larger magazine, increased ammo capacity, and Stabilization Jets.
The Answer is a special variant of the M739 Light Machine Gun that features projectiles with proximity-fused high explosive warheads. It has also less recoil and greater accuracy, to the point of minimal reticule bloom even when fired full-auto.
