“ | Not a lab tech forced into experimentation against his will by duplicitious A.I.M. agents. But a being who ushers in his own existence. Who will pave a new path in this incarnation. The greatest mind to be produced in this world and age. M.O.D.O.K. Superior has risen![1] | „ |
Summary
M.O.D.O.K. Superior is the result of a failsafe program carried out by the original M.O.D.O.K. to ensure the continuation of his legacy in the eventuality of his downfall against the coalition of the Hulks. He is one of many cloned brains, but unlike the others he has been allowed to retain his free will. Upon surfacing as the new M.O.D.O.K., he vowed to not follow the faulty tracks of his predecessor and live his life free of any artificial conditioning, a trait most exemplified in his much more human and varied characterization.
Superior's only aim was to improve the world, although the means through which achieve this goal were not clear to him at first. He embarked on many enterprises, shifting alliances and challenging his own morality compass on more than one time, often moving in-between the spectrum of heroism and villainy. After repeated, failed attempts at finding satisfaction in a purpose or another, M.O.D.O.K.'s character sadly slipped back into the same monster he had sworn to not become, thus fully embracing the psychotic and murderous tendencies of his progenitor.

Incredibly resourceful and skilled at seizing his chances, forming alliances for his own gains and exploiting turmoils occurring at any given time. Has often access to wide resources belonging to an organization or a team of sort, for he never stands truly idle in his machinations. Some notable instances include heisting[7] a Cosmic Cube, taking advantage of the Robot Revolution to gain control of Ultimo[8] and acquiring the shards of the Bifrost to become a cosmic entity capable of warping reality itself and threaten the Ten Realms[9])

- Radiation Manipulation (Likely; stood at the epicenter of a gamma radiation-based explosion and seemingly suffered no ill effect aside of the blunt force of the blast itself[18])
- Mind Manipulation (Has psy-shields[10] which protect him from psionic assaults. Was seemingly the only individual capable of remaining conscious while under the effects of a Transmission Conductor, which links the mind of the victim to Tlön and forces their imagination into a trance which fuels the realm[19])

- Black Hole Creation (Via a black hole gun)
- Large Size (Type 1) and Bodily Weaponry (Via G.O.D.O.S.)
Attack Potency: Street level physically (His lifting strength alone warrants such a level. Punched[5] Monica Rappaccini away), Wall level to Building level with the Doomsday Chair and other weapons (Its ramming force and energy weapons should be at least comparable to the previous model's. Crashed through a thick, concrete ceiling.[24] Most of its weaponry consists of heavy artillery which falls within such ranges even by real life standards. Can damage and kill animal versions of himself.[22] Such weapons are often used even against foes such as Captain America), Planet level via Energy Projection (Comparable to his predecessor. His brain blasts remain his main form of offense against his numerous enemies. Defeated[7] Spider-Man. Overpowered[10] Wolverine. Easily tore through[17] a host of Venom)
Speed: Below Average Human by himself (Cannot properly[23] move[32] without external aid), Transonic to Hypersonic movement speed and likely up to Supersonic attack speed with the Doomsday Chair (At least comparable to the previous model. Its rocket booster could reach escape velocity.[24] Its built-in automatic weapons include rotary cannons and missiles), at least Hypersonic, possibly Relativistic+ Reactions, Perceptions and Energy Projection (At least equal to his predecessor. Dodged Spider-Man's webs.[7] Often fights opponents having such levels of speed)

Striking Strength: Street level, Wall level to Building level with the Doomsday Chair
Durability: Building level (Survived an enormous explosion, although he was knocked out in the process.[18] Seemingly unhurt after falling from high into the sky.[11][23] Endured a punch from a replica of Hulk's arm.[5] Survived another giant explosion, albeit off-screen.[36] Endured a missile exploding[20] inside his mouth), Planet level with Forcefields
Stamina: Below Average to Superhuman (Comparable to his predecessor. Endured violent electrocution from Zzzax long enough to activate the device which would stop it.[21] Kept fighting Gwenpool after she smashed[24] one of his eyes. Has often engaged in prolonged fights agains a variety of opponents. Sustained grievous wounds in his fight against the X-Men and fought until he was rendered incapable of moving[4])
Range: Standard to Extended Melee Range physically (Depending on the size with which he is portrayed), Several to Hundreds of Meters with the Doomsday Chair (Boasts long-reach weapons and firearms), At least Tens of Meters[10] via his Brain Blasts, Planetary with Psychich Powers (Comparable to his predecessor. Performed worldwide hackings[5])
Standard Equipment: Doomsday Chair (terrestrial, aerial or hybrid model) and Brain Blast Gear
Optional Equipment: Blaster,[18] Black Hole Gun,[7] Cell Phone with Uru Case, G.O.D.O.S. (Giant Organism Designed Only for Smashing)
Standard Tactic: Unlike his previous incarnation, M.O.D.O.K. Superior is much more inclined towards combat and eager to engage to personally face his foes in battle. For undisclosed reasons he isn't as fond of his psionic abilities and his predecessor and relies more on the many weapons and functions of his upgraded Doomsday Chair. Although his rate of success has been swinging, M.O.D.O.K. Superior has proven himself just as deadly, if not more, than the original, often requiring the intervention of multiple individuals or the use of underhand tactics to be taken down.
Intelligence: Extraordinary Genius
As a perfect clone of the original M.O.D.O.K., he possesses all the memories of its predecessor.[1] Striving to impose himself as superior to the original, this new incarnation of M.O.D.O.K. is much more pragmatic and mindful of his actions and errors, being willing to learn from his mistakes and not repeat those committed by the old one,[21][25] although with oscillating degrees of success. Tony Stark stated that M.O.D.O.K. might be smarter than him.[6]
Has elaborated several plans which allowed him to dispose of an opposing faction of A.I.M., going discretely far in taking control of S.H.I.E.L.D. and then save the world from a great menace after having a change of heart.[37] Has recurrently held or shared the position of supreme leader or co-commander of A.I.M. or of some of its factions in certain occasions. He has been a valuable asset of S.H.I.E.L.D. for a time and has been a member of coalitions such as the old and new Intelligencia and the West Coast Masters of Evil. Founded and ran his homonym mercenary agency for a time, before Gwenpool took over. Was a prominent component of Orchis and enabled several of their terrorist and political strategies. M.O.D.O.K. often plays the role of the mastermind behind the scenes, but unlike his predecessor he isn't stranger to fighting in the front lines or take action on his own.
Retains the same capabilities of the original, has led several projects within the various organizations he has been part of and has accomplished further achievements.
- Engineered his own body as a better version of that of his predecessor.[1]
- Modified the entity know as Zzzax, strenghtening it and subduing it to his authority.[21][25]
- Designed the Zero Cannon.[38]
- Created a platoon of cybernetically-enhanced, mutant animals.[39]
- Designed a tractor beam capable of "lifting anything".[11]
- Developed various innovative inventions for S.H.I.E.L.D.[40]
- Found a way to drain electrical grids in order to open time/space portals capable of connecting various locations and even send people into a digital world.[28]
- Built the mobile fortress of his homonym mercenary organization.
- Created the Land Sharks.
- Invented a machine capable of altering the morphology and psyche of its victims, as well as revert it back to the original. With this device he fused himself with his chair and became a handsome, albeit odd, man. Likewise, he turned various women into giant monsters mentally subjected to his will.[41]
- Created a high-frequence sound which suppresses superpowers of various nature and origin.[42]
- Created the Deathloks and a subatomic outgoing broad-isotope gun capable of decapitating a machine as strong as Ultimo.[43]
- Invented a black hole gun, human-capybara hybrids and a machine that would have evolved him into a superior being.[7]
- Developed a waterborne biological agent which attacks the amygdala and turns people into murderous berserkers.[10]
- For his magnum opus, M.O.D.O.K. harnessed the fragments of the Bifrost and used their power to become a godlike being.
Weaknesses: Retains the same mobility[23] impairments[32] of his predecessor but has artificially improved upon his biology to not be affected by some of the same imperfections. He engineered his new body with less nerves compared to the original, in order to not damage himself and feel the same pain his progenitor did.[1] Although not shown or stated directly, he likely doesn't require regular transplants of organs like the original did, for the plots never seemed to allow room for such recurrence. Furthermore, he erased the lingerings traces of the programming meant to enslave M.O.D.O.K. to A.I.M. which subtly influenced his predecessor, thus granting himself true free will.[25] Requires the integrity of his artificial psionic blaster in order to fire his mental bolts.[38] Although he attempted to correct his hubris, such a weakness still lingers in him and has often led to his downfall.
