Summary
Killing Floor is a Co-op Survival Horror FPS set in the devastated cities and countryside of England after a series of cloning experiments for the military goes horribly wrong. You and your friends are members of the military dropped into these locations with a simple mission: Survive long enough to cleanse the area of the failed experiments.
Players descend into continental Europe where the outbreak caused by Horzine Biotech’s failed experiment has quickly spread and gained unstoppable momentum, essentially paralyzing the European Union. The specimen clones are everywhere and civilization is in disarray; communications have failed, governments have collapsed, and military forces have been systematically eradicated. The people of Europe know survival and self-preservation too well and lucky survivors have gone into hiding.
Not all have given up hope though... A group of civilians and mercenaries have banded together to combat the outbreak and established privately funded operation bases across Europe. Upon tracking specimen clone outbreaks, players will descend into zed-laden hot zones and exterminate them.
Powers of the Verse
The verse contains several types of specimens, which are creatures that casually tear down people. Some of the specimens are strong enough to break through a steel door with a tackle and can survive damage inflicted on them by powerful weapons, such as grenade grenade launchers, C4 explosives and RPG-7. Some specimens have abilities that give a hard time to armed forces who deal with them, such as attacks with scream, acid and poison, or cloaking themselves.
