Summary
Kazemaru Ichirouta, or Nathan Swift, is a supporting character of the Inazuma Eleven series. He is a defender for Raimon in the first season, originally apart of the Athletics club and one of Endou's long-time loyal friends. During Season 2 against Aliea Academy, he plays Midfielder position, though out of demoralization, decides to leave the team after facing Genesis for the first time. He later reappears at the end of Season 2 after accepting the power of the Aliea Rock, and becoming the captain of Aliea's strongest team 'Dark Emperors', consisting of Endou's previously injured Raimon teammates. In Season 3, he is selected as a Defender for Inazuma Japan, and even the 3rd-in-line temporary captain (in Endou and Kidou's absence).
He later reappears in the Inazuma Eleven GO sequel series as an adult, watching the final match of the Holy Road along with others such as Kabeyama Heigorou and Fudou Akio. He later plays a part in Inazuma Eleven GO the Movie: The Ultimate Bonds Gryphon movie, and temporarily plays for Raimon once again alongside Kidou, Fubuki, Kabeyama, Fudou, and Endou.

Notable Attacks/Techniques:
- Shippuu Dash: Kazemaru’s signature dribble hissatsu, where he temporarily increases his speed, completely outmanoeuvring around his opponent faster than they can process, creating afterimages in order to keep control of the ball. This hissatsu has been able to run past characters such as Sakuma Jirou, Charon and Hikita Goushirou. This move is shown notably faster while Kazemaru uses the Aliea rock as a Dark Emperor
- Bunshin Defense: A block hissatsu, where Kazemaru creates two other clones of himself, who all approach the opponent and take the ball off of them. Once the ball is secured, all three clones land behind their opponent, and merge back into one.
- Fuujin no Mai: A dribble Hissatsu Kazemaru uses during the FFI, where he conjures a large tornado around his opponent, dancing around its walls around his opponent to get past them with the ball, and then launching them high into the air afterwards. This technique had proven Kazemaru’s most effective technique, even evolving it to the point it could get past Little Gigant players.
- Banana Shoot: A shoot hissatsu (hissatsu tactic in the games) performed by Kazemaru, who kicks the ball from the corner of the opponent's side of the pitch in a free kick, perfectly curving it so that it lands into the goal. This move was able to score against the Desert Lions due to its awkward curvature of the ball.[15]
- Honoo no Kazamidori:A combination shoot hissatsu with Gouenji Shuuya, where they both kick the ball into the air at the same speed and distance, jump upward and then aim the ball downwards. This creates a fire around the ball in the shape of a phoenix, making it fly towards the goal. This move was used by the original Inazuma 11, who had passed on the technique to Raimon. It was capable of scoring against Sengoku Igajima.
- Dark Phoenix: A combination shoot hissatsu with Someoka Ryuugo and Matsuno Kuusuke, and a darker 'transcending' form of The Phoenix. All three players kick the ball together, creating a dark energy in the form of a phoenix as the ball remains in the sky. The three players then ascend and kick the ball at the same time towards the goal. This technique was capable of beating Tachimukai's Mugen the Hand G4.[5]
- Triple Boost: A combination shoot hissatsu with Kurimatsu Teppei and Shishido Sakichi, and a continuation of the 'Twin Boost' move, where the three players pass down the ball to eachother in a line, before Kazemaru shoots the accumulated energy in the ball towards the goal.
- The Hurricane: A combination shot used with Fubuki Shirou, in which both players combine their equally fast speeds to create a blitzing hurricane trail when shooting the ball, while Shirou encases it in ice akin to his Eternal Blizzard technique. This move was able to score against strong world-level goalkeeping techniques such as Flash Upper and Big Spider.
- Tatsumaki Otoshi: A combination shot used with Kabeyama Heigorou, and acts as a new version of Inazuma Otoshi. Kazemaru uses Kabeyama's feet, who is also kicking upwards, to launch himself upwards into the air to meet the ball. With this added momentum, Kazemaru then dropkicks the ball from above towards the goal. This hissatsu was able to score against Fire Dragon, as well as overpower Ronijo[16]
- Koutei Penguin 2gou: A combination shoot hissatsu with Kidou, Fubuki and other Raimon members; One player whistles to summon penguins that emerge from the ground beneath them, kicking the ball as the penguins fly and manoeuvre around it. The remaining two players then kick the ball in unison while in the air, aiming the ball and the penguins towards the direction of the goal.
- Deep Jungle: A combination block hissatsu shown with Heigorou Kabeyama and Sakuma Jirou in the Inazuma Eleven GO vs Danball Senki W crossover movie, where the three players swing on vines as the ball is being shot towards them, striking it at the exact time to remove all its power. This block was able to stop Hakuryuu's Dragon Blaster, whose power was being boosted by Keshin Armed, though the events of this match are likely not canon.
