Who are we? Are we simply what others want us to be? Are destined to a fate beyond our control? Or can we evolve? Become... something more?
~ Jean Grey

Charles Xavier: I can help you so that you never have to break things ever again.
Jean Grey: You think you can fix me too.
Charles Xavier: No, because you are not broken.

You're special, Jean. And if you stop fighting that force inside you, if you embrace it, you will possess the very power of a god.
~ Vuk to Jean Grey

Jean Grey: I know what I need to do now.
Charles Xavier: What is that?
Jean Grey: Protect my family.

Vuk: Your emotions make you weak.
Jean Grey: You're wrong. My emotions make me strong.

I know who I am now. I am not simply what others want me to be. I am not destined to a fate I can't control. I evolved beyond this world. This is not the end of me or the X-Men. It's a new beginning.
~ Jean Grey
