Summary
Homing Attacks are moves that directly seek out its target, reducing the chance of missing even if the user or the opponent makes sharp turns, is in the air or suspended in space, and have a long distance between each opponent. Some homing attacks can continue seeking out their target even if there are obstacles between the homing attack and the target.
While these attacks have existed prior, the description of such attacks, "Homing Attack", comes from and was popularized by the Sonic the Hedgehog series.
Limitations
- There are cases of characters surviving the homing attack using their wits. If they had enough intelligence, range, mobility, and speed on depending whatever the attack is, they could cause the homing attack to crash itself against anything else.
- Abilities can redirect or reverse Homing attacks. Characters without those Hax could redirect the user’s attacks to follow them back to the user if the character has enough intelligence, range, mobility, and speed.
Users
- Sonic the Hedgehog and many other characters from (Main Sonic Continuity)
- Heat Seeking Missiles (The Real World)
- Mewtwo, Charizard, and Lucario (Pokémon)
- Frieza, Yamcha, and other Dragon Ball characters
- Darkseid (DC Comics)
