Giganotosaurus (Dino Crisis)

Summary

Giganotosaurus is a genus of carcharodontosaurid dinosaur that lived around 97 million years ago during the later stage of the Cretaceous Period. It is one of the largest known terrestrial carnivores; possibly larger than even Tyrannosaurus, and it is also one of the main antagonists in Dino Crisis 2.

At least one Giganotosaurus was captured by members of Noah's Ark Plan to send to the distant future. For some time, its existence was considered simply a rumor among the soldiers of the military base, a dinosaur larger than a Tyrannosaurus so large, in fact, that men could accidentally walk in the animal's mouth by accident. The reason why its existence was doubtful was due to the fact that no one who went out in search of it returned.

The presence of the Giganotosaurus in the future was confirmed in the missile silo, where it attacked the one-eyed Tyrannosaurus that had been stalking Regina and Dylan Morton for some time. Both beasts fought with everything they had, but in the end the Giganotosaurus emerged victorious from the battle.

The dinosaur proceeded to hunt down Regina, leaving prey behind her as it broke through the missile silo walls. Rejected and finally knocked unconscious by the flames and the accompanying fumes from it, the Giganotosaurus later woke up to find Regina next to the missile. Brake the metal structure in order to reach it, the missile collapses to the ground and explodes.

Somehow surviving the blast unscathed, the Giganotosaurus moved downstream to Noah's Ark complex, where it confronted Dylan. He was eventually killed when a satellite in communication with the complex fired a powerful beam of light directly onto the creature, leaving only its remains surrounded by a deep hole.

The Giganotosaurus can easily destroy even the most robust buildings and generated this much energy by destroying a giant reinforced wall with a single hit.)
