Game & Watch is a series of handheld games released by Nintendo from 1980 to 1991. These were the first Nintendo products to gather major success. They used LCD images for their graphics, giving them the look of calculators. Although they were quite influential on the next Nintendo games, they were only recently brought back into the spotlight via the inclusion of Mr. Game & Watch into Super Smash Bros. Melee.

Although each game was originally conceived as either independent or part of an already-existing franchise (such as Mario or The Legend of Zelda), later sources, mostly the Super Smash Bros. series, started grouping up all of those games under the same franchise and often, under the same fictional universe. However, it is important to note that most of these sources interpret the Game & Watch games under a far different light from how they were portrayed originally, meaning that they have no actual bearing to the original games' canon.

Power of the Verse

Due to the very limited setting of the games, the verse by itself is quite weak. The original series tops out at Large Building level with Hypersonic speed, although feats of such caliber are very common.

It only gets stronger via scaling to other series it has been crossovered with, such as the Smash series, reaching into Tier 7. Due to one of the original games featuring the Triforce, it also has star level god tiers.
