Summary
Frank West is a primary protagonist from the Marvel vs. Capcom series. He is a famed freelancer photographer and photojournalist, who arrived to the small town of Willamette while looking for the next big scoop, finding out about a zombie outbreak that took place at Willamette Parkview Mall, managing to cover the story of its strange events and rescue a host of survivors from violent psychopaths thanks to his knack for professional wrestling, utilizing objects in his surroundings as deadly weapons and a tough spirit that allows him to survive under even the most extreme conditions, even also saving his own life as many times as it has put him in mortal peril.
In Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3, Frank is one of the many heroes who fight against Galactus to stop the destruction of the earth. In Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite, he joins the Resistance to fight against Ultron-Sigma to stop him from merging the Marvel and Capcom universes.

Superhuman Physical Characteristics, Martial Arts (Frank has a number of professional wrestling moves at his disposal,[1] even being able to use judo throws and suplexes), Weapon Mastery, Marksmanship, Acrobatics (Frank can do jumps and somersaults constantly. All Marvel vs. Capcom characters can pull off a Super Jump, which involves leaping high into the air in a single bound), Stealth Mastery (Snuck into the A.I.M.BRELLA Corporation's headquarters[2]), Summoning (Frank can summon zombies to help him in combat, by either swinging them as a melee weapon or throwing them), Limited Air Manipulation (Frank can generate large amounts of air when performing Funny Face Crusher), Explosion Manipulation (With the Hail Mary), Afterimage Creation (In multiple movements, Frank can create afterimages), Self-Sustenance (Type 1; Could fight in space undeterred[1]), Accelerated Development (Physical Statistics and Abilities: By taking photos frequently, can level up at an incredibly fast rate, allowing Frank use new combos and stronger weapons in combat. - Camera: Although its intended purpose was for Frank's job, his camera acts as a combative tool, stunning opponents as well as allowing himself to level up.

- Paddlesaw: A custom-made weapon, resulting in a double-ended kayak paddle with a chainsaw duct-taped to each end. Has much better range than any of Frank's other melee weapons.
- Axe: Used as a melee weapon for overhead attacks, as well as launching targets into the air.
- Hammer: Used as a melee weapon for heavier hitting overhead attacks.
- Defiler: A custom-made weapon, resulting in bat with the head of an axe and the head of a sledgehammer both positioned on the business end.
- Cream Pies: Used by Frank to harm as well as temporarily blind his opponent should it strike their face. While best used as a ranged weapon, Frank may opt to smash one into his target's face up close.
- Servbot Helmets: Helmets resembling Tron Bonne's Servbots. In combat, Frank will unexpectedly place them over his opponent's head to take them off guard. Alternatively, he can briefly wear the helmet to charge headfirst into his enemies.
- Shopping Cart: Used by Frank to carry his weapons, as well as push into his enemies during battle. When used offensively, the cart has chainsaws tied to the front of it.
- Hail Mary: A football with multiple grenades attached to it.
- Cartons: Containing either water or juice, Frank can drink from these to grant himself and his team members extra Hyper Meter.

Intelligence: Gifted (Frank is mostly known for being a crafty fighter, displaying skill as a professional wrestler as well as having a mastery over several weapons, traditional or homemade, able to utilize whatever objects he can get his hands on in his surroundings.[1] As a result of his finesse in battle, he has gone up against and defeated psychopaths as well as military personnel.[1] He can create weapons by combining materials in the middle of battle, such as the Paddlesaw. Recognized as a proficient zombie hunter and a great survivor, so much so that even Reed Richards himself asked him for his help to save a dimension infested with zombie heroes[1])
Weaknesses: Some time after drinking the alcohol, Frank will start to vomit, leaving him vulnerable. Frank can only wield one Infinity Gem and equip up to three card effects at a time.
Notable Attacks/Techniques:
- Object Throw: Frank will chuck a certain food item depending on his Photography Level. This reaches full screen and is fairly useful for full screen pressure, though it cannot be cancelled into anything normally.
- Knee Drop: Frank drops straight down in a damaging speed on his knee, which hits overhead.
- Slide: Frank performs a crouching slide kick forward along the ground.
- This Looks Useful: Frank pulls out a plunger and stabs it straight forward.
- Crude Sweep: Frank crouches down as he swings a plunger horizontally in a sweeping motion, tripping an opponent in-front of him.
- Forward Throw: Frank grabs the opponent and then performs a judo throw to slam them forward.
- Back Throw: Frank grabs the opponent and then slams them backwards by falling onto the ground with a suplex.
- Tools of Survival: This special move has three versions. In the Light version, Frank pulls out a plunger, broom, or paddlesaw for some rapid-fire jabs (or a singular thrust for the very latter weapon), also can be done in midair. In the Medium version, Frank pulls out and swings a baseball bat, a spiked bat, or a chainsaw which causes a wallbounce. In the Heavy version, Frank pulls out a fireaxe, a sledgehammer, or the Defiler and swings it downwards.
- Giant Swing: A zombie attempts to attack Frank, but Frank grabs the zombie by its legs and swings it, spinning around against the opponent before throwing it.
- Hammer Throw: A zombie attempts to attack Frank, but Frank pushes them off and shoves them forward.
- Snapshot: When used, Frank will hold out his camera and take a picture, causing nearby opponents to be stunned for a second.
- Bottoms Up!: Frank takes a swig of an alcoholic drink. This doubles the amount of Prestige Points gained.
- Roundhouse Kick: Frank performs a back-turning roundhouse kick via rushing forward and kicking upon almost reaching the end point.
- Barrel Roll: Frank performs a quick diving roll that tracks towards the opponent. While rolling, Frank West is invulnerable to all but grabs.
- Blue Light Special: Also known as Dead Riding, Frank grabs a shopping cart with four chainsaws taped to it and then charges forward at the opponent with the cart.
- Survival Techniques: Also known as Case West, Frank charges forward with a throwing object. When this connects, he attacks the opponent with a flurry of attacks of several weapons that varies depending of the level of Photography, often finishing with a bat-swing-styled attack with the finishing weapon used which inflicts a soft knockdown.
- Funny Face Crusher: Frank puts a Servbot mask onto the opponent's head so they can't see. He grabs them by the legs, spins them around and throws them. As the dizzied opponent gets up, he runs over and slams their face into the ground.
- Say CHEESE!: Frank pulls out the Hail Mary. Subsequently, he throws his opponent into a horde of zombies to finally throw the Hail Mary and ends up exploding along with the zombies where he will grab one to take a photo.
- Power Gem: Frank can use the Power Gem to increase his attack damage for a short period of time. In Infinite, the Infinity Surge version grants him a powerful attack with increased pushback force.
- Time Gem: Frank can use the Time Gem to increase his movement speed for a brief time. In Infinite, the Infinity Surge version allows him to move a set distance forward or backwards in the form of an instant dash that goes through the opponent and their attacks.
- Reality Gem: Frank can use the Reality Gem to create three different elemental projectiles across the screen; electric spheres, icicles and fire orbs. In Infinite, the Infinity Surge version will make him launch a slow, homing energy burst with each use.
- Space Gem: Frank can use the Space Gem to increase his defense for a period of time, which reduces damage taken from his opponent's attacks. In Infinite, the Infinity Surge version allows him to push the opponent forward or backwards, and the Infinity Storm version seals them in a large, square force cage which restricts their movement for a while.
- Mind Gem: Frank can use the Mind Gem to constantly refill his Hyper Combo gauge for a short period of time. In Infinite, the Infinity Surge version provides him a special throw attack which instantly stuns an opponent if hit.
- Soul Gem: Frank can use the Soul Gem to increase/fill his health for a short period of time. In Infinite, the Infinity Surge version grants him a far-reaching energy attack which absorbs health off the opponent upon hit.
