Summary

Gran/Djeeta is the protagonist of Granblue Fantasy. Growing up on the Island Zinkenstill with their dragon friend Vyrn, they one day received a letter from their father. After a fateful encounter with Lyria and her guardian Katalina, the group decides to follow the letter and find Gran/Djeeta's father, who is supposedly in Estalucia, the legendary home of the Astrals.

Intelligence: High, mastered many scientific and magical branches within a short time. Fought and beat the greatest martial artists and weapon masters in the Sky world.

Weaknesses: Tries, if possible, not to kill their foes. Captain is connected with Lyria by life force and would any of them die, so would the other. Can't use summons if Lyria isn't conscious. Has some sort of elemental weakness depending on what main weapon he is using.

Notable Attacks/Techniques:

  • Full Arsenal III: Captain empowers himself for the next attack, triggering the Mystery attack of their weapon and boosting potency by 50% and Mystery attack potency by 20%
  • Rage IV: Captain strengthens himself and the people around them in exchange for energy
  • Armor Break II: A strike that lowers defenses
  • Brave Soul: By steadying their body, Captain strengthens their body further, getting stronger the better their body condition is.
  • Rampage II: Captain raises the fury of their attacks, raising their speed and allowing him to attack more often in the same span of time he would have needed for a single attack but becomes slightly vulnerable.
  • Power Raise: Captain enhances their attacks for a more devastating attack against weaknesses.
  • Ulfhedinn: Captain awakens the beast strengtening himself and increasing his speed, causes his attack to create an aftershock, and gains complete immunity to Status Afflictions but causes him to be unable to use some abilities while active
  • Ferocious Roar: Axe and Sword users gain roughly 60% speed increase and their attack echoes for 20% bonus damage

  • Dragphract: Captain rushes to the enemy dealing 5 hits, 100% damage to random enemies. If wielding a spear, Captain restores 20% of Health. If wielding a gun, Chainburst are amplified by 40% up to a maximum of 120%.
  • Battering Ram: 300% damage to an enemy. If wielding a spear, nullifies one ability, if wielding a gun, delays or disrupt an ability. At Equestrian Affinity lvl 3 this ability activates twice.
  • High Command: If wielding a spear, Captain will counterattack at full force and are boosted. If wielding a gun, all allies speed is boosted. These abilities will remain until Captain is hit twice on separate occasion.
  • Order of the Heavy Cavalry: If wielding a Spear, Captain will always counterattack upon taking a hit but mystery energy is gained much slower. Captain's Equestrian affinity is increased by 1 level if targeted by an enemy.
  • Order of the Dragoon: If wielding a Gun Captains health is 15% lower but gains a big boost to attack on all allies based on how healthy the condition is. Equestrian affinity increases if no damage is taken for a short while.
  • Equestrian Affinity: If wielding a Spear, Durability and hostility are boosted by 20% per level up to a maximum of 60%. If wielding a Gun, Speed is boosted, and hostility are lowered based on level.

  • Shinku: Captain can generate and gain more energy allowing them to release Mystery Twice in a single strike at peak

  • Master of Swords: Captain can call forth the hidden power from sword or katana.
  • Awakening Blade/Glory Arts: Captain calls forth the hidden power of their current sword. Upon call, the sword unleashes its hidden power in form of its initial awakening, a resonance effect that Captain can call form automatically and 2 passive processes, that triggers upon attacks and defences respectively. Each of the forth actions are different from sword to sword and each activation runs on a to the sword special energy household. When empty, the sword goes dormant again and needs to be reactivated
  • Resonating Blade: Captain uses up a small amount of the swords energy to activate its resonance effect
  • Energize: Captain sacrifices a small amount of their energy to energize their activated sword again
  • Contrablade: Captain braces themselves for an all-out attack, withstanding normally lethal hits for a single time and countering all attacks
  • Espada: Captain throws a flurry of sword attacks, dealing more damage the more swords Captain has on them
  • Al Doble: Captain enchants their sword, dealing bonus elemental damage with every hit and guaranteeing attack effects of their sword with each attack
  • Colmillus: Captain takes an offensive stand, raising all offensive stats and overloading their sword, disabling the energy consumption of it until Colmillus is switched off. In that stance, the awaken sword can't activate defensive effects, only the offensive effect.
  • Glorious Vow: Consumes 8 Sword energy to grant all allies Glorious Vow which boost potency and durability by 100%, doubles speed, guaranteed critical strike which boost damage by 20%, and increases maximum potency by 10%.

Viel which substitutes if targeted with afflictions, shield which substitutes if targeted by power nullification, potency boost based on health, drain on attack, periodic healing that boost energy at max health, and damage mitigation.

  • Omnipotent Eye/Cat's Meow: Captain runs on a new energy form called mana, required for all abilities of the Branch. Once activated, Captain raises all their and their allies stats until they run out of mana or turn it off manually. Stats granted are 30% increase in potency, 80% increase in durability, speed increase roughly 1.7x, and massively boosting resistance to debuff causing it to have 50% chance to not hit.

If not activated, all of Captains attacks have their range massively boosted, turning normal attacks into area attacks.

  • Scartching Post: upon consuming 15MP All allies gain 3x speed increase and echoes their attack by 80% of the damage

  • Selectivly Skilled/Execute: Captain uses a variety of assassin items called Secret Gear against their opponent. The effect varies from item to item. Captain only has a limited amount of them and needs to prepare them before the battle and increase execution level.
  • Out of Sight/Devotion: Captain redirects the enemies focus through assassin techniques, lowering their perceivability and letting someone take all the attacks for them
  • Retaliation Reprise: Captain uses a Secret Gear. This attack is a desperation move, as it allows Captain to chain to Secret Gears in an attack but at the cost of opening themselves up for attacks
  • Conceal: Captain further lowers their perceivability and raises their speed
  • Recursive Nightmare: Consumes 10 levels of execution points to gain extra secret gears
  • Barbed Wire: Inflicts Pillory which deals damage to enemy overtime and can restrict their movement, depending on secret gears used the potency of damage increases
  • Nightmare Gear: Equips 8 different secret gears
  • Sadistic Aims: Gains statistics amplification based on execution level
  • Torture Room: Gain increased potency and debuff success rate against target afflicted with pillory

  • Drum Roll: Captain plays a motivating Drum solo, enhancing the damage of their and their allies special attack tremendously
  • Never Miss a Beat: Captain's masterful skill with The Drum allows them to manipulate the energy of themself and their allies, allowing them to move and absorb energy
  • Resounding Rhythm: Captain sacrifices a small amount of energy to motivate themself and their allies, strengthening them while reducing elemental resistances of their opponent
  • Resonating Rhythm: Captain plays a motivating Drum Solo, raising the energy household of themselves or an ally by a large amount
