Summary
Evelyn Quan Wang is the owner of a laundromat and lives with her family. She is one day contacted by her husband from an alternate universe and warned about an impending evil in the form of an entity known as Jobu Tupaki. She is given a crash course on Verse Jumping - a technique that uses technology to connect one's mind with a version of themselves from another universe - and readies herself to face Jobu. However, she soon learns that Jobu Tupaki is in actuality her own daughter, Joy. Through attempting to stop Joy, she learns the value of her own existence and grows closer to her daughter, finally accepting her mundane life and making the most out of it.
