Summary
Elma (Japanese: エルマ, Eruma) is one of the many playable characters in Xenoblade Chronicles X and the mentor to Cross. She is responsible for humanity's survival as she warned humanity of an incoming battle that would cause the destruction of Earth and after the destruction of Earth she became one of the figure heads in humanity's reconstruction on their new home Mira through her work as a B.L.A.D.E.

Overdrive:
Overdrive is a technique given to humans through the use of Mimeosomes. Once active it grants an immense boost to the user's fighting capabilities boosting their attack potency, durability, etc for a limited amount of time however, with a combination of arts and skill it is possible for the duration to last endlessly.
When activated for Skells, Overdrive gives a few extra perks such as passive Damage Transferal, Probability Manipulation, Damage Boost and temporary Invulnerability during attacks.
Soul Voice/Challenge:
A Soul Voice/Challenge is a mechanic in XBX that allows the user to activate certain abilities, buffs or just heal without the need of arts. These effects are typically triggered by certain actions such as "opening the battle with a melee attack". Abilities granted by Soul Voice/Challenge include more Healing, Statistics Amplification, Resistance Negation, Invulnerability and many more.
