“ | I've been a little... vulgar. I know. And I want to say, I'm sorry. I just... you know how a man gets when he wants to know a woman. But after the ceremony, when I've made an honest woman of you... I promise I'll be a different man. I want a family, a legacy. To be the father I never had. I'll never let anything happen to our children. Not like... | „ |
~ Eddie to Waylon Park |
Summary
Eddie Gluskin is the secondary antagonist of Outlast: Whistleblower, a prequel to the survival-horror game Outlast. He is a misogynistic serial killer, who was committed to Mount Massive Asylum and became one of the most feared patients in the asylum. Gluskin’s warped psyche was likely due to the physical abuse he endured during his childhood, which resulted in him murdering several women.
Like the other Variants, Eddie was exposed to the Morphogenic Engines, which further deteriorated his mind. He would go on to mutilate patients of the asylum, reenacting his crimes by turning his victims into women then killing them.

Speed: Average Human (Is mostly shown walking), possibly Athletic Human (Presumably caught up to the Variant that attacked him)
Lifting Strength: Peak Human (Was able to overpower numerous Variants and hang them from his pulley system. Normal Variants are capable of chocking people to death in seconds and crushing skulls. Dragged a locker containing Waylon all the way to his workshop. Can lift Waylon with one hand)

- Optional Equipment: Sleeping gas
Intelligence: At most Average, Gifted in his best showings (Despite his insanity, Gluskin is shown to be a lot more functional than the average Variant, as he is shown opening doors normally instead of slamming them, and exhibits calm behaviour, alongside coherent speech. Gluskin also demonstrates knowledge and skill in surgery, tailoring, and construction. He was able to create a pulley system that spanned across an entire gymnasium all by himself and a table saw made for his procedures. Gluskin has designed and tailored decently made wedding dresses, such those displayed in the vocational hall and his makeshift wedding altar. He is capable of performing some form of gender reassignment surgery of his victims, meaning that he must have a fair amount of knowledge when it comes to urology and gynaecology)
Weaknesses: Because of his delusions of women, marriage, and family, Gluskin is prompted to carry out unwanted gender reassignment procedures upon his victims, believing he’s doing both him and them a favour. In moments of rejection, Gluskin will often succumb to a fit of blind rage, spewing misogynistic slurs and violent threats. His status report reveals that he has a latex allergy.
