Summary
The official TV adaptation of the Dragon Ball manga continuity, the main Dragon Ball Z anime follows a relatively similar plot to the manga, with Son Goku and his friends and children protecting the Earth and the universe from villains threatening to destroy or conquer them. Several new original storylines are added to its continuity in the form of anime only content and thirteen theatrical films, some of which are integrated into the main anime, and others following alternate timelines and scenarios. The anime continuity also received a completely original and TV-exclusive sequel in the form of Dragon Ball GT, which continues the adventures of Son Goku, who is turned back into a child by Emperor Pilaf accidentally wishing this using a new pair of Dragon Balls in the beginning of the series and is forced to travel across the universe to retrieve them. The series follows the Z Fighters against far more powerful foes than what had been seen up until then.

Power of the Verse
The Dragon Ball Toei anime continuity is vastly more powerful than the manga it is based on, jumping from the regular building busters in the canon continuity to Multi-City Block level+ and even up to Town level. They later jump even more vastly in power later on, reaching Planet level+ due to Roshi's moon busting feat sending parts of it flying at hypersonic speeds, and Large Planet level in the King Piccolo Jr. Saga to 23rd Budokai due to the later multipliers introduced.
Characters at the very beginning of the Saiyan Saga already scaling to Dwarf Star level+ due to overwhelming Garlic Jr, and Goku being 1/20th his strength after his training, and Goku and Vegeta on the same saga receiving an upgrade to Small Star level+ via scaling to Vegeta's feat of destroying Arlia. Large Star level is reached at the very beginning of the Namek Saga, with a relatively suppressed First Form Freeza destroying Planet Vegeta. Later on, during the end of Frieza Saga, Multi-Solar System level is reached via Frieza's Namek busting explosion taking out several stars in its vicinity and being seen across the galaxy. This is further supported in the filler arc of Garlic Jr's return, who also performs a Multi-Solar System level feat.
In the Android/Cell Saga, Galaxy level is quickly reached via multipliers. At the start of the Buu Saga, Multi-Galaxy level Attack Potency is reached, via further multipliers and training, and with feats such as Kid Buu being capable of destroying the Grand Kai Planet and nearly destroying the Kaioshin Realm. Finally, Super Buu (with Gohan absorbed) could perform a Low Multiverse level with his Vice Shout, which was accepted to scale to him and other characters in this thread.
Speed-wise, they start of at Transonic and later reaching Massively Hypersonic with the introduction of Tao Pai Pai, the Planet busters reach Relativistic due to them being able to reach the moon with Ki blasts in a short period of time. Z starts with Relativistic+ feats due to Piccolo's ki blast reaching the Moon in four seconds, and quickly progresses to Massively FTL+ with feats such as Goku reacting to his spaceship, which traveled to another galaxy within 6 days, 100% Frieza reacting to the Namekian Dragon Balls dispersing towards another galaxy, and the level of the feats quickly progresses with the introduction of Instant Transmission and characters who can outspeed it, such as Cell, Goku and Pikkon quickly traveling throughout the universe-sized Other World, Bojack traveling from the edge of the universe to the other edge within an unspecified timeframe, etc.
Dragon Ball GT, the sequel to the anime, quickly progresses with its feats of speed and Attack Potency, such as Omega Shenron also presenting Low Multiverse level power with his Minus Energy Power Ball, which possessed condensed macrocosm-destroying power and was purified and dispersed by Super Saiyan 4 Gogeta relatively easily.

- The Macrocosm is accepted as 2-C because Popo states the all of the past present and future are created in this room. This is backed up by the fact that the other realms hadn’t been introduced yet. Also, the Living Universe and Afterlife are stated to be separated by space and time. Moreover, Shin calls the Living Universe its own temporal world. This means that the Kaioshin realm is it owns space-time continuum as well, since the Afterlife and Living Universe are their own space-time continums. Heaven is also stated to be as big as a universe multiple times.
