Donquixote Rosinante is the younger brother of Donquixote Doflamingo. He was one of Doflamingo's High Executives under the codename "Corazon" and served as his right-hand man. He was depicted as unintelligent, mute and a klutz, but in truth, it was all a facade in order to hide his true identity as a Marine.
Despite being Doflamingo's brother, Rosinante viewed him as being evil due to his nature and the fact that he murdered their father. After being separated from Doflamingo when both were children, Sengoku found and nurtured Rosinante, eventually building him up to become a Marine Commander. Rosinante then reunited with Doflamingo with the intention to receive intel and provide it to the Marines.
After Trafalgar Law had been with the Donquixote family for 3 years, Corazon learned of his identity as one possessing the "Will of D", realizing that Doflamingo would kill him upon discovering this. In order to protect Law, as well as cure him of a deadly disease, Corazon set out to find a doctor to cure him. After facing failure many times, Corazon decided to seek out the Ope-Ope no mi.
Using information from Doflamingo regarding the Ope-Ope no mi, Corazon tricked him in order to feed the fruit to Law in order to give him the abilities necessary to cure him of his disease. However, Vergo, one of Doflamingo's closest followers, learned of this and informed Doflamingo of the truth.
In order to protect Law, Corazon sacrificed himself while using his power to keep Law hidden long enough for him to escape. He became Law's reason to live and made a massive influence on him, thus leading Law into plotting his revenge against Doflamingo.
