Weaknesses: Doctor Strange can only wield one Infinity Gem and equip up to three card effects at a time.
Notable Attacks/Techniques:
- Impact Palm: Strange imbues his palm with mystic energy and strikes the opponent, causing them to enter a crumpled state. This attack can also be performed mid-air, although this version does not inflict the crumpling effect.
- Illusion: Strange puts his hand up, preparing to counter his opponent's physical attack. If the opponent hits Strange, he will instantly teleport behind them.
- Mysterious Slice: Strange swings his arm down in slashing motion, leaving a streak of mystic energy that damages the opponent. This attack can also be performed mid-air, where he swings upwards.
- Spirit Circle: Imbuing his hand with mystic energy, Strange swings his arm up in circular motion, striking the opponent.
- Forward Throw: Strange envelops the opponent in light and twirls them around before blasting them away with mystic energy.
- Back Throw: Similar to his Forward Throw, Strange envelops the opponent in light, twirls them, and shifts them to the other side of the battlefield before blasting them away with mystic energy.
- Air Throw: Strange envelops the opponent in light and rapidly rotates them before blasting them away with mystic energy. Causing a wall bounce. He does the same for his Back Air Throw, only that he shifts the opponent to the other side of the battlefield before blasting them away.
- Flames of the Faltine: Strange fires a small fireball that does slight damage. This attack can also be performed mid-air. These fireballs can be enhanced by the Graces of Hoggoth depending on the number of glyphs used. One glyph makes the fireball brighter and faster, while two not only makes it even faster, but larger and stronger. Finally, three glyphs will transform the fireball into a massive beam of flame that inflicts a crumpling effect.
- Daggers of Denak: Strange snaps his fingers, creating a disk of light that tracks and swiftly flies into the opponent. Depending on attack strength, Strange can create one to three disks. This attack can also be performed mid-air.
- Eye of Agamotto: Strange creates a large stationary orb of golden light that hits the opponent multiple times. He can make the orb move by striking it with Impact Palm, allowing it to home in on opponents. Additionally, the orb is capable of absorbing any incoming projectiles sent by the opponent. This attack can also be performed mid-air.
- Tears of Agamotto: Strange creates a small stationary orb of red light. The orb will eventually detonate after hovering in the air for a certain period of time, or it will explode immediately upon contact with the opponent. Similar to Eye of Agamotto, these orbs can move after Strange strikes it with Impact Palm, and they can also home in on opponents. Additionally, this attack can also be performed mid-air.
- Grace of Hoggoth: Strange creates a floating stationary glyph that interacts with the Flames of the Faltine.
- Detonation: The red glyph do not enhance the Flames of the Faltine. Instead, they will explode whenever the fireballs pass through them.
- Spatial Magic- Cast A: Strange creates a second glyph. Whether that second glyph is yellow or red depends on attack strength.
- Spatial Magic- Cast B: Strange creates a third glyph. Whether that third glyph is yellow or red depends on attack strength.
- Spatial Magic- Scatter: A follow-up of Spatial Magic- Cast B, where Strange shifts the glyphs into a triangular position around the screen. The heavy version of this technique sends the glyphs around the opponent's last known location. This move can also be performed mid-air.
- Spatial Magic- Gather: A follow-up of Spatial Magic- Cast B, where Strange places the glyphs into a single-file line near his feet. The heavy version of this technique sends the glyphs to the opponent's last known location. This move can also be performed mid-air.
- Bolts of Balthakk: Strange casts two lightning bolts from his fingers. The first lightning bolt electrocutes the opponent, leaving them in a stunned state, and the second knocks them down.
- Mystic Sword: Strange summons an ethereal sword and slashes opponent several times.
- Duel Slash: A follow-up of Mystic Sword, where Strange will thrust the ethereal sword forward, striking the opponent and causing a wall bounce.
- Shockwave: A version of Mystic Sword, where Strange will slash the air, firing a blade-like projectile of mystic energy.
- Teleport: Strange's teleportation technique, where he envelops himself in light and reappears in another area on the battlefield. Depending on attack strength, Strange can teleport in front of them, behind them, or above them.
- Flight: Similar to many other fighters, Strange can utilize flight to perform deadly air combos.
- Spell of Vishanti: Opening his grimoire, Strange raises his hand and summons a pillar of light under his opponent, sending them flying up into the air. This attack can also be performed while mid-air.
- Seven Rings of Raggadorr: Strange surrounds himself in several protective rings of energy. If a projectile hits the rings, Strange will counterattack with a massive beam of energy.
- Astral Magic: Doctor Strange sends out his astral form, which ensnares the opponent in the Crimson Bands of Cyttorak. Once his astral form returns to his physical body, Strange concentrates his magic and summons several orbs that surround the restrained opponent. He then shifts the orbs down, causing a massive explosion. In Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite, this move is called Crimson Bands of Cyttorak, and is visually the same, only that Doctor Strange does not use Astral Magic.
- Power Gem: Doctor Strange can use the Power Gem to increase his attack damage for a short period of time. In Infinite, the Infinity Surge version grants him a powerful attack with increased pushback force.
- Time Gem: Doctor Strange can use the Time Gem to increase his movement speed for a brief time. In Infinite, the Infinity Surge version allows him to move a set distance forward or backwards in the form of an instant dash that goes through the opponent and their attacks.
- Reality Gem: Doctor Strange can use the Reality Gem to create three different elemental projectiles across the screen; electric spheres, icicles and fire orbs. In Infinite, the Infinity Surge version will make him launch a slow, homing energy burst with each use.
- Space Gem: Doctor Strange can use the Space Gem to increase his defense for a period of time, which reduces damage taken from his opponent's attacks. In Infinite, the Infinity Surge version allows him to push the opponent forward or backwards, and the Infinity Storm version seals them in a large, square force cage which restricts their movement for a while.
- Mind Gem: Doctor Strange can use the Mind Gem to constantly refill his Hyper Combo gauge for a short period of time. In Infinite, the Infinity Surge version provides him with a special throw attack which instantly stuns an opponent if hit.
- Soul Gem: Doctor Strange can use the Soul Gem to increase/fill his health for a short period of time. In Infinite, the Infinity Surge version grants him a far-reaching energy attack which absorbs the health off the opponent upon hit.
