Currently, we accept the feat of Pluto (Demon King who preceded Mundus) splitting the original universe into two separate ones, as per this explanation page.
The demon world and human world are noted to be two separate universal space times. We already accept both being separate universes.
Low 2-C Universes
For evidence of them being two separate universal space times:
In DMC3, we learn that the Demon World has its own space-time continuum, as shown with the Samsara. This evidence is used to fix rifts in the space-time continuum[1].
The Demon World also has a different flow of time apart from the human world.[2]
Furthermore, the Gigapede demonstrates the human universe also has its own space-time fabric[3].
Dimensional Walls
Both worlds are separated dimensionally.[4]
Translation:
“The dimensional wall between the Demon World and Human World can be said to be like a net.
High-ranking Demons cannot come to this world unless favorable conditions have been met due to their power, but low-ranking demons are able to easily pass through this net.
In that case, however, there are some small fry whose strength is too weak for them to even maintain their body. Such pitiful guys, these Marionettes, use life-size dolls to take in magical power.
With the bottom of the guns bullets of the Devil Hunter and the other being the opponents to waste, handle them a little rough, and soon they'll break.
Although it seems that even these demons have a tough head in keeping up with the times like against the use of guns. Does the person standing at the forefront devised it?”
In short, the universes are dimensionally separated, with their own space time continuums.
Size of the universes
The original world (before Pluto happened)[5] has a statement of being an infinite, endless darkness[5].
The manga heavily implies size, the first page demonstrates the world originating around darkness and said darkness being endless/ infinite (the use of endless, infinite etc. goes along with the interpretation of the translator, but nonetheless the use for infinite is there).
Proof for it meaning infinite: Here
The demon world is also called endless by an astronomical charting device[6], and is stated to have an endless sea[7].
What does this mean?
Splitting a universal space-time continuum into two is a valid 2-C feat to the Tiering System:
- 2-C | Low Multiverse level: Characters who can significantly affect, create and/or destroy small multiverses which can be comprised of several separate space-time continuums ranging anywhere from two to a thousand, or equivalents.
- "Significantly affect" is used as an umbrella term for feats that don't involve direct creation or destruction but are comparable to them in power, such as warping and distorting the entirety of the structure in question, sustaining its existence with one's own, merging the structure with another one, etc.
As such, all universe merge feats (Mundus and Argosax) and the two universe split feats (Pluto and Sparda) are Low Multiverse level.

Merging and the Wall
There is a dimensional wall (mentioned above) that separates both space times. The original is implied to have been made by Pluto, and was called a Veil[8].
The current wall is the seal created by Sparda. It should be noted that the destruction of this wall does not cause merging, as the wall exists to prevent dimensional travel. Instead demonic power must be enacted to merge them, as shown both with the Qliphoth in DMC5[9][10][11][12] and Argosax in DMC2.
In the fifth game, the wall is[9] completely gone[13], yet the Qliphoth has to physically combine universes.[10]
This is also shown in great detail in DMC 2, as explained here: User blog:ParadoxIndifferent/Devil May Cry: Feats Summarized and Explained
Argosax merges both universes without destroying the barrier, and its death causes the merge to cease, which would be impossible if it was based on destroying the dimensional wall.
Conclusion
Devil May Cry God tiers are Low Multiverse level, given the context regarding the feats of merging and splitting the 2 universes.
