Summary
David Cain is one of the most premier assassins in the world and the father of Cassandra Cain. In an attempt to create the greatest assassin alive, Cain raised his daughter without teaching her how to speak. He taught her how to fight, how to use weapons, and how to carry out assassinations. However, after Cassandra’s first kill, she ran away from Cain.
During No Man’s Land, Cain tried to assassinate Commissioner Gordon, but he was stopped by the efforts of his daughter and Batman. Ever since then, Cain has been a recurring antagonist for Cassandra.

He knows every style of martial arts there is, and he is touted as being on the same level as Batman and Cassandra Cain during No Man’s Land, and he is even spoken of in the same breath as Lady Shiva and Richard Dragon[2].
Standard Tactics: Cain primarily fights by using his pistols to attack from a distance, but if his opponent gets close, he will make use of his great martial arts skill to physically beat his opponent.
