Summary[]

Daoist Heavenspan is a genius cultivator who was stuck in the Heavenspan Realm.

As the realm was a pocket reality merely created to find a successor to The Arch-Ancestor through someone learning his Live Forever Undying codex, even after he reached the peak of power possible in the realm, he was not allowed to leave until a successor was found. But as the millennia passed and none appeared, Daoist Heavenspan began becoming more and more enraged, eventually coming at odds with the "Gravekeeper", who he believed was hiding the gate to outside of the Realm.

Eventually, relationships broke down into open war between Daoist Heavenspan and his subjects, and the Gravekeeper, splitting the Realm into two sides.

After several millennia however, two people appeared, each able to learn half of the codex. One was his daughter, the other, a cultivator simply desiring for eternal life. While conflicted, he eventually chose to allow the two to gain full mastery of their half of the codex, and planned to absorb them to obtain it and become the successor. He failed however, and after seemingly killing his daughter and Bai Xiaochun's apprentice, he and Bai fought until the very world was ripped to shreds, gaining his desire to go into another Realm due to that.

In the Eternal Realms, he was taken in by the Vile-Emperor, and eventually became the apprentice of The Mortal Renegade.

Notable Attacks/Techniques:

  • Four Heavenly Beasts: Four beasts at the Great Circle of the Demigod Realm (as strong as a Demigod level cultivator can naturally get), they are the incarnations of the six swords later used for the Daogates.
    • Gluttonous Flood Snake: A 30'000 meter Jiaolong (Flood Dragon).
    • Fantastic Crocodile: A 30'000 meter crocodile with four heads, it can divide into four crocodiles with one head each, and Early Demigod level cultivation. It can shoot sprays of Heavenspan water, causing most people to self-combust.
    • Sludge Giant: A giant stonebeetle that fossilizes anything it passes near.
    • Gloom Bird: An undead Roc with 30'000 meters of wingspan.
  • Daogates: The greatest powers Daoist Heavenspan had developed during his imprisonment in the Heavenspan Realm. By transforming the Four Heavenly Beasts into six swords, he creates signs and uses one of his "palaces" for differing effects.
    • Palace of Water: Summons all of the water in the Heavenspan Realm, and imbues it with immense energy. The life of anything that touches it is extinguished, and all things are absorbed and made part of the water.
    • Palace of Mountains: Creates hundreds of mountains around and above the enemy, sealing them. Each mountain is stronger and bigger than the previous, making even those on his level unable of breaking them.
    • Palace of Lightning: Creates ten million bolts of black lightning, greater than any divine tribulation in the Heavenspan Realm.
    • Palace of Wind: Creates black winds that he can control at will.
    • Palace of Marshes: Transforms everything nearby into a swamp, and all things within its perimeters are eroded away.
    • Palace of Fire: Creates all consuming, black flames around him, burning away any incoming attacks.
    • Palace of Earth: Through the energy of the earth, it reduces everything it affects to normal stone and soil.
    • Palace of Heavens: Takes control over the "heavens" of the world, allowing him to rip through space at an immense range.
    • The Palace Within: Forces the target, potentially an entire realm, to be split in two. One half will be filled with life and prosper, and the other with death and whither away. Finally, the two halves will be ripped apart.
    • The Tenth Daogate: Daoist Heavenspan steals all the life force found in Heavenspan to empower himself in combat.
  • Divine Spells:
    • Pill Refinement: Can refine people he has subdued into pills, allowing any who consume the pill to obtain their powers.
    • Slave Sealing: Through laws, time and the will of the world, he forcefully enslaves a being, making them bend to his will.
    • Portals: Can create portals that act as eyes and nearly anywhere in the Heavenspan realm, easily crossing massive distances.
    • Sword Qi: He can create, like most cultivators, long range attacks by releasing Qi with the element of "sword", cutting enemies. He, specifically, can release them from all of his portals, creating potentially millions of airborne, homing attacks at once.
    • Discarnate Soul-Life Replacement: Replaces himself with a clone, transferring all damage done to him, and all damage aimed at him at the moment. even something as fundamental as his soul, mind, body and powers being burned, or his existence being erased, are simply passed on.

  • Dao of Nirvanic Extermination: The Dao of Nirvanic Extermination is a semi-sentient set of beliefs, desires and goals that goads those that hold them into attempting to eternally kill all of existence, while granting them great power. Like an infection, those that are not killed by it can often "catch" the Dao, and become half controlled by them, though this seems to be limited to those who would be susceptible to be controlled by it regardless. Those not part of the Nirvanic Extermination, or comparable to it, instantly die on exposure.
    • Absorption: All those killed by the Dao of Nirvanic Extermination are perennially dead, becoming part of those that killed them as undead wraiths that hold all of their previous powers when they were living, but are fully subservient. These beings cannot be resurrected, even through the Essence of Life.
    • Fusionism: Can fuse with those that hold the Dao of Nirvanic Extermination.
    • Duplication: His very flesh is infested by the Dao, and if some were to be ripped off and left for its own measures, it would become a sentient clone of him, albeit weaker.
    • Nine Lanterns: Creates nine black lanterns that release light instead of darkness. From them, black gas that kills on touch is released and takes the form of hands as it rushes the enemies.
    • Starry Sky: Nirvanic Extermination: The sky first takes the appearance of a normal starry sky, then the stars begin fading out, devoured by darkness. As the sky is overtaken by darkness, it forms into a face that attempts to devour everything, causing entire realms to begin dying as it nears, them ready to devour it all.
    • Black Flame Flower: By burning a large amount of wraiths, he creates black flames that are imbued with the Nirvanic Extermination that could cover and burn away the entirety of the Eternal Realm.
    • Divine Sense Summoning: At the cost of his longevity, he can summon a portion of the Mortal Renegade's divine sense to crush his enemies' soul and mind.
    • Devil-Sun, Demon-Moon: Two black gaseous orbs with red light in them, they kill and absorb anything that stands in their way.
    • Mouth of Nirvanic Extermination: Creates a black vortex that stops time, and then absorbs everything akin to a black hole.
    • 3000 Daos of Extermination: By burning himself and connecting himself with the Mortal Renegade, he gains access to the power of every world the latter has ever destroyed in his lifetime, numbering at 1'010'000 worlds.
    • Nirvanic Extermination Projection: Becomes the Abstral Projection of the Mortal Renegade, though he is doomed to death after using it.
