Summary
Normally a devil hunter who's dedicated his life to exterminating demons for cash, while watching a movie with Trish Dante is catapulted into it, and hired by Captain Blue to defeat the evil plaguing it, which turns out to be Mundus resurrected, possessing Blue himself.
Powers and Stats
Tier: High 5-A, higher with Six Majin
Name: Dante
Origin: Viewtiful Joe
Gender: Male
Age: Mid 30s (Likely the same age as canon Dante after the events of DMC1 and 2, which are mentioned in Viewtiful Joe)
Classification: Demon/Human Hybrid Devil Hunter
Powers and Abilities:
Superhuman Physical Characteristics, Martial Arts and Weapon Mastery (Fights with kicks, sword and guns simultaneously), Acrobatics (Capable of impressive showings of agility such as spinning full-body attacks, Ukemi, which sees him rebounding off the ground with a stylish flip when being hit against it, and a variety of other moves), Platform Creation (Can double jump by briefly creating a platform underneath his feet), Precognition (Can see where foes will attack ahead of time and react accordingly[1], even if they are moving so fast that seeing their actual movements is impossible), Attack Reflection (Can attack a variety of projectiles, including energy ones, back at sender, even redirecting homing missiles to target them), Vehicular Mastery (Can skillfully pilot his biplane in combat), Transformation and Weapon Creation (Can summon his clothes and gear on at will[1]), Weapon Control (Can throw his sword and make it come back with Round Trip), Explosion Manipulation (With Shocking Pink bombs), Time Manipulation (Dante can use VFX Slow[1] to greatly enhance his perception speed, allowing himself to dodge attacks, even ones so fast he'd otherwise be unable to perceive), Damage Boost and Information Analysis (By using VFX Slow when a foe is vulnerable, Dante can "lock on" to them and inflict a particularly powerful blow that sends them flying, and afterwards can continue to impart similar attacks onto other foes as long as Slow is active. Even inanimate objects will suffer much more knockback when hit in slowed time), Causality Manipulation (VFX powers have a variety of bizarre effects on the world. For example, decelerating and accelerating time will cause rotor-powered machinery to drop down or output more power and fly higher up due to their relative speed appearing slower or faster to the viewer and Dante, even though within the world they are moving at the same speed. Similarly, explosions, rocket jets or even just dripping water will grow much bigger in size when slowed down, as they are existing for longer from an observer's perspective, while flowing water will accumulate faster when fast-forwarded as more appears to flow in the same timeframe), Statistics Amplification (Dante can greatly increase his speed with VFX Mach Speed, and his power with VFX Zoom), Afterimage Creation and Fire Manipulation (With VFX Mach Speed[1], Dante can accelerate his own speed greatly, attacking so fast that he casts several afterimages that attack on their own. While his surroundings may also sometimes be accelerated, enemies are left unaffected. Utilizing Mach Speed for long enough will briefly surround Dante with a flaming aura, which does not harm him and even protects him from other sources of fire. It will also set enemies and objects on fire, and this fire inflicts damage as one would expect it to. He can also surround himself in flames when using VFX Zoom Red Hot Kick), Air Manipulation (Mach Speed causes a gust of wind that can be used to put out fires[2]), Social Influencing (With VFX Zoom, Dante zooms in the camera and strikes a cool pose, causing his enemies to freeze in shock briefly and powering up his attacks), Healing (With Ukemi Dante rebounds off the ground stylishly after being knocked away by it, regaining the health lost from that attack), Energy Projection (Can inflict damage at range through unexplained means with Sweet Dreams Forever), Self-Sustenance (Type 1. Doesn't need to breathe either underwater or in space), Summoning (Can call Karnival or Six Majin to him at will[1]), Extrasensory Perception (Sensed Mundus' presence), Sealing (Sealed away Mundus in the past, with Trish's help), Resurrection (Capable of resurrecting on the spot upon health depletion by consuming a Take Two), Resistance to Fire Manipulation (When surrounded by his Mach Speed fire aura, Dante is not affected by flames that would normally harm him and prevent him from passing through[1], even resisting Fire Leo's fire, which burns at 1 trillion degrees[3]) and Radiation Manipulation (Can be in space without issue)
Flight (Capable of flight, even in space[4]), Energy Projection (Can rapid-fire energy bullets), Explosion Manipulation (Capable of dropping bombs)
Size Manipulation (From Type 1 to Type 4. Six Majin seems to change sizes depending on the situation, growing to enormous sizes to fight Mundus on the planet's surface[4]), Flight (Capable of flight, even in space[4]), Many of Viewtiful Joe's abilities (Capable of using any of of Joe's VJ1 moves and essentially just plays like a scaled-up version of him). This includes: Superhuman Physical Characteristics, Martial Arts, Acrobatics (Capable of impressive showings of agility[5] such as double jumps, spinning full-body attacks, Ukemi, which sees him rebounding off the ground with a stylish flip when being hit against it, and a variety of other moves), Attack Reflection (Can attack a variety of projectiles, including energy ones[4], back at sender, even redirecting homing missiles to target them), Weapon Mastery (Can skillfully toss Voomerangs so that they track foes or come back to him), Weapon Control (The Voomerang can be "charged" to cause it to sprout two more blades), Explosion Manipulation (With Shocking Pink bombs), Time Manipulation (Joe can use VFX Slow[5] to greatly enhance his perception speed, allowing himself to dodge attacks, even ones so fast he'd otherwise be unable to perceive), Damage Boost and Information Analysis (By using VFX Slow when a foe is vulnerable, Joe can "lock on" to them and inflict a particularly powerful blow that sends them flying, and afterwards can continue to impart similar attacks onto other foes as long as Slow is active. Even inanimate objects will suffer much more knockback when hit in slowed time), Social Influencing (With VFX Zoom, Joe zooms in the camera and strikes a cool pose[6], causing his enemies to freeze in shock briefly and powering up his attacks), Healing (With Ukemi Joe rebounds off the ground stylishly after being knocked away by it, regaining the health lost from that attack), Energy Projection (Appears surrounded in energy when performing various attacks, and can inflict damage at range through unexplained means with Viewtiful Forever)
Attack Potency: Brown Dwarf level (Capable of fighting and defeating Mundus possessing Captain Blue), higher with Six Majin
Speed: Relativistic+ (Comparable to Captain Blue), higher with Six Majin

- Alastor: Dante's sword, initially abandoned by the spirit of the demon Alastor who rejoins it after Dante defeats him in this game.
- Ebony & Ivory: Dante's trusty two demon-killing guns.
- Shocking Pink: Large pink bombs that Dante can manifest out of thin air.
- V.F.O: A UFO shaped weapon that pelts nearby foes with homing bullets.
- Six Machine: A small flying vehicle capable of various transformations and outfitted for combat.
- Mega Megabot Six Majin: A gigantic mech Dante pilots in the most desperate of battles.
Intelligence: Dante is a highly reputed and skilled demon killer.
Weaknesses: VFX Powers rely on a limited albeit rapidly regenerating energy gauge.
Notable Attacks/Techniques:
- VFX (Viewtiful Effects): Powers Dante can use to warp his surroundings. While they rely on a bar of energy that discharges with use, it also recharges very quickly. Multiple VFX can be used at once.
- VFX Slow: Dante can use VFX Slow[5] to greatly enhance his perception speed, allowing himself to dodge attacks, even ones so fast he'd otherwise be unable to perceive.
- VFX Mach Speed: With VFX Mach Speed[5], Dante can accelerate his own speed greatly, attacking so fast that he casts several afterimages that attack on their own. While his surroundings may also sometimes be accelerated, enemies are left unaffected. Utilizing Mach Speed for long enough will briefly surround him with a flaming aura, which does not harm him and even protects him from other sources of fire. It will also set enemies and objects on fire, and this fire inflicts damage as one would expect it to. Can be upgraded to create even more afterimages.
- VFX Zoom: Dante zooms in the camera, causing his enemies to freeze and powering up his attacks.
- Attacks
- Alastor, Ebony & Ivory: Dante's regular attack strings. Rapid and powerful, they can be executed in midair or crouching, using sweeping kicks or powerful uppercuts for the latter.
- Sliding: Joe performs a sliding kick that can take him several meters forward.
- More Than Enough: An overkill aerial gun combo.
- Sparda Kick: A diagonal diving kick attack performed in the air. If VFX Zoom is used as it's being performed, it will transform into a powerful spinning, flaming divekick.
- Ukemi: When Joe is hit to the ground, he can VFX Zoom at the right moment and swiftly rebound off the ground with a stylish move.
- V-Dodge: A stylish slow-motion dodge performed during VFX Slow.
- Sweet Dreams Forever: Upon dodging an attack, Dante can VFX Zoom and strike a pose so cool it damages nearby foes.
- V-Tornado: Eliminates all enemies in a tremendous twister. Utilized by activating VFX Scratch after a V-Dodge.
Note: Feats related to gameplay or cutscene animations may feature Joe instead of Dante, as their story modes have the same levels, mechanics and animation in cutscenes, though dialogue and some moves differ.
