A true scholar does now look down on others for what they do or do not know. Those who know impart the knowledge to those who do not. If something is wrong, those who know the answer correct it. The process repeats, bringing us closer and closer to enlightenment. I teach my students with the expectation that one day, they will surpass me. I long for the day when I will have the chance to learn from them. ...If believing in the future makes one a fool, then call me a proud fool.
~ Cyrus, before the battle against Lucia
A world of knowledge awaits.

Superhuman Physical Characteristics, Genius Intelligence, Martial Arts, Weapon Mastery (Staves/Tomes[2][3]), Accelerated Development (Leveling: Physical Stats, Intelligence, Abilities[2][3]), Status Effect Inducement (Breaking enemy shield by exploiting their weaknesses drastically reduces their defense and renders them unable to act for a turn[4]), Empowerment & Aura (Boost Mode is the unleashing of all the power one has,[3] fueled by their souls,[2] augmenting their powers, and dealing even more damage with their attacks and abilities[3]), Possibly Dimensional Storage (Including the NPCs, everyone in the Octopath Traveler series has access to an inventory from which they can summon and use items[2][3][4]), Information Analysis (Cyrus' sheer analytical and deductive prowess is at the level where,[5] once he decides to scrutinize someone, he can instantly ascertain the whole life narrative of anyone he meets. This can yield the locations of items hidden in town, shop discounts, and more, as soon as he arrives in a new city or hamlet.[1] This perceptiveness of his shows itself even amidst battle, with him instantaneously gaining insight into the weaknesses of his enemies the moment he lays his eyes on them[2]), Extrasensory Perception (Was aware of Lucia's presence following him throughout Stonegard[6]), Durability Negation & Non-Physical Interaction (Non-Corporeality - Can affect shield points of enemies with physical and elemental attacks,[1] which are, as demonstrated numerous times in the battle against Galdera, homogeneous with their souls.[2] Can interact with the souls of the dead as well.[2] Intangibility - Can interact with Elements of the Nature[2][3])

All previous, now with access to all 8 starting jobs. "Jobs" are a recurring game mechanic that determines the skills and weapons a traveler is able to use to help define the traveler's playstyle.[Note/Explanation 1] Aside from their primary jobs, every traveler may take one more job and four support skills upon themselves[Note/Explanation 2] from the following options:

All previous, now with access to all 4 advanced jobs as well from the following:

Resistance to Soul Manipulation (Took countless hits from innumerable enemies who are all capable of affecting the shield points, which are, as demonstrated numerous times in the battle against Galdera, homogeneous with their souls. Endured having his soul banished by Galdera, albeit barely, with only 1 HP remaining[2]), Temperature Manipulation & Absolute Zero (Can withstand temperatures in areas like the Hoarfrost Grotto,[2] where it is cold to the point that the land itself is frozen, an area teeming with ice-derived creatures with ice abilities that can reach levels of absolute zero,[7] and the Forbidden Temple, an area largerly covered in lava where constant heat distortion occurs across the screen[3]), Poison Manipulation (On a drinking contest between Cyrus, Alfyn, Therion, and Olberic, by the time Cyrus, who also happened to be the first to concede, conceded, so that he could enjoy the drinks at his own pace, they had already drank enough to knock out anyone in the Alfyn's village. At the end, where they had exhausted the entire tavern, Cyrus was still eager to find another tavern and keep drinking, which Therion then followed with stating that none of them could match Cyrus in the end[8]), Elemental Manipulation (Fire Manipulation, Ice Manipulation, Air Manipulation, Electricity Manipulation, Light Manipulation/Holy Manipulation, Darkness Manipulation/Unholy Manipulation) & Status Effect Inducement (Poison, Sleep, Blindness, Silence, Confusion, Terror, Unconsciousness, Instant Death, Paralysis, Bleeding, Dread, Weakness[Note/Explanation 4][2][3])

Attack Potency: At least Island level (Comparable to Ophilia Clement, who managed to effortlessly and single-handedly defeat Guardian of the First Flame as early as chapter one,[9] who is, in turn, comparable to Glacis, who could clear away a continental blizzard in a single blow[Note/Explanation 5][10]) | At least Multi-Continent level (Fought and defeated Galdera, The Fallen, at the Journey's End alongside the party[11])

Speed: At least Massively Hypersonic+ (Can react and dodge lightning magic.[2][3][4] Within the setting of the verse, magic explicitly has a source, as nothing begets nothing. Following the chain of cause and effect,[12] magic is derived from the six physical elements, which are the source where the power is drawn from.[13] Which is to say, it moves at speeds comparable to those of natural lightning[Note/Explanation 6]) | At least Massively Hypersonic+ (Far faster than before)

Lifting Strength: At least Class T (Comparable to Ophilia Clement, who is much stronger than the Guardian of the First Flame, who, in turn, dwarfs Flamebearer's other constructs, such as the Shrine Guardian, who can send mountains flying with a wave of its hand[Note/Explanation 7][2][3]) | At least Class T (Stronger than before)

Striking Strength: At least Island level | At least Multi-Continent level

Durability: At least Island level | At least Multi-Continent level

Stamina: Superhuman (Joined Ophilia, Tressa, Olberic, Primrose, Alfyn, Therion, and H'aanit as they entered the Gate of Finis, a place where there was no way out once inside. Where they, once again, fought with Mattias, Yvon, Venomtooth Tiger, Werner, Simeon, Miguel, Darius, and Dragon—all of whom were more formidable than ever before—back-to-back-to-back until eventually facing Galdera, The Fallen himself,[11] whose power was unfathomable, requiring the party to rethink their tactics, rearrange their party, and endure failure over and over. For the sake of future challenges, up until they ultimately defeated him[1])

Range: Extended Melee Range with most weapons, Hundreds of Meters with Bows, higher with magic[2][3]

Standard Equipment: Entirety of Octopath Traveler and Champions of the Continent Inventory.[2][3]

Intelligence: Extraordinary Genius and a Genius Combatant

In all of Osterra, Cyrus is among the most astute and knowledgeable individuals.[14] He is, among many other things, a masterful

Teacher & Historian: Often times, he finds himself giving lectures to his companions about subjects that are directly related to their profession but that they have barely heard of due to the obscurity[15] and brief historical accounts of towns they travel across.[16] He can, furthermore, purely spontaneously, start giving a lecture of an hour straight in history alone.[2]

Adventurer & Combatant: Has been all over Orsterra, aiding Ophilia, Tressa, Olberic, Primrose, Alfyn, Therion, and H'aanit in their quests, becoming acquainted with or otherwise facing against myths, legends, and even gods themselves, throughout which has been imparted with the knowledge from the heavens that makes one a Cleric, Scholar, Merchant, Warrior, Dancer, Apothecary, Thief, Hunter, Starseer, Runelord, Warmaster, and Sorcerer, experiencing many things not many could hope to achieve in a lifetime one after another, like the Kindling,[17] to give a mild example.[2]

Detective & Analyst: Cyrus' sheer analytical and deductive prowess is at the level where,[5] once he decides to scrutinize someone, he can instantly ascertain the whole life narrative of anyone he meets. This can yield the locations of items hidden in town, shop discounts, and more, as soon as he arrives in a new city or hamlet.[1] With which, he could close the mystery of the lost tome the very day he noticed it,[14] as well as the mysterious disappearances of people that have been going on for a year the same day he heard about it.[18] This perceptiveness of his shows itself even amidst battle, with him instantaneously gaining insight into the weaknesses of his enemies the moment he lays his eyes on them[2]

Weaknesses: Cyrus, despite being uncannily perceptive of relationships between man and woman,[19] is quite inept at it when it involves himself personally, and, thus, he may have trouble finding out the minor motives of the opposite gender.
