Summary
Brock Rumlow was a gang member and criminal in New York City from a young age. As an adult, he honed his criminal talents under the tutelage of Taskmaster and became a mercenary and assassin, eventually gaining the attention and approval of the Red Skull. Since then, under the name Crossbones, Rumlow has been a loyal right-hand man of the Red Skull, as well as his daughter Sin, whom he is also in a relationship with, though he has also been hired by other supervillains and worked on his own on occasion.

Crossbones is the best operative to have ever worked under Red Skull[8] and is reputed to be an even better fighter than him[9]. Was reputed by Taskmaster to be skilled enough to teach his street-fighting style[10] in his school even before[11] training under Red Skull's order[12]. Weaknesses: Pulling the ribbons on his mask will slide it out of place and blind him[35], though newer versions of his mask seem to lack those strings.
