Summary

After being tasked by Team Magma with the job to bring Groudon back to life using an ancient fossil and failing, Butler was exiled from Team Magma, which made him resent the organization. Eventually, he came up with the plan to use the power of Jirachi, who he later found in the Land of Forina, and the Millenium Comet to recreate his experiment. The experiment was a success, though instead of creating Groudon, Butler had created an evil, corrupted being that only resembled Groudon. This being quickly began absorbing the energy of plants, people, and Pokémon.

Name: Did not receive a proper name, but is commonly referred to as "the fake Groudon," "Virus Groudon," or "Corrupted Groudon"

Powers and Abilities: Superhuman Physical Characteristics, Absorption (Can absorb people and Pokémon with its tentacles and likely also by shoving them directly into its stomach, Absorbs energy from those it absorbs and can absorb energy from plants simply by walking past them), Large Size (Type 1)

Attack Potency: At least Mountain level+ (Its tentacles could effortlessly overpower and absorb powerful Pokémon such as Flygon and Salamence), likely Multi-Continent level (It's reasonable to suggest that it should scale to Groudon)

Speed: At least Relativistic+, likely higher (Should scale to Groudon, its tentacles could catch and outrace Pokémon like Flygon and Salamence)

Lifting Strength: Unknown

Striking Strength: Unknown. At least Mountain Class+ with its tentacles

Durability: At least Mountain level+ (Was unaffected by attacks from Flygon and Salamence), likely Multi-Continent level (It's reasonable to suggest that it should scale to Groudon, Jirachi's Doom Desire easily overpowered and destroyed it)

Stamina: Extremely high due to not being a real Pokémon.

Range: Tens of meters, tens of kilometers with tentacles (Could cover a large portion of Forina)

Standard Equipment: Tentacles, it's stomach (In the climax, it shoved the platform that Ash, Pikachu, and Jirachi were on into its stomach in an attempt to stop the machine)

Intelligence: Likely Below Average, if not Animalistic (It didn't show much intelligence, only really attacking those that attacked it first, though it did attempt to stop the machine from redirecting the energy used to make it back to the Millenium Comet)

Weaknesses: Reversing the power made to create it back to the Millenium Comet.

Feats: Quickly captured the majority of the Pokémon living in Forina, as well as several main characters.
