Introduction

This is a page to help our members avoid common mistakes when writing source code, so other members do not need to spend considerable time cleaning up the mess. It is highly recommended that new users familiarize themselves with the contents of this page before making any edits on the wiki.

If a character or verse page name includes additional text (such as "verse" or "franchise" in brackets for verse pages, or the specific verse name in brackets for character pages), then you have to rewrite the link to exclude that extra text. Use the special character | to customize the link.

• Other websites, such as YouTube or Imgur, are completely acceptable to be linked to via external links. However, when you link to a YouTube video, do not forget about the specific timestamp for the relevant scene in question.

Bolding/Spacing

Some members have massive trouble with bolding or spacing text fragments (either unnecessary gaps or bolding too much of the text). The reason for this is usually related to the usage of Visual Editing, so we advise that you utilize source editing whenever bolding.

Usage of Apostrophes

If two or more side-by-side phrases need to be bolded, each phrase should have its own set of apostrophes. One set of apostrophes should not encompass both phrases. Take note of this particularly when writing keys, i.e., each key should receive its own set of apostrophes.
