Summary

Second tallest of the true Giants, the Cloud Giants are an aloof race, viewing all other barring Storm Giants as below them- fitting, given their proclivity to reside in castles which float on clouds. Alongside their impressive physical strength they have innate magical abilities, being able to levitate objects among other things.

Notable Attacks/Techniques:

  • Rock: A Cloud Giant has immense strength, which can fling boulders up to 240 feet.
  • Iron Will: Cloud Giants have incredible willpower, which makes them more resistant to any effects targeting their will.

At Will:

  • Detect Magic: For 10 minutes the Cloud Giant can sense all magic within a 30 feet radius of themselves. They can concentrate on an object, and through the aura the magic has they get an estimate of what type of magic it is.
  • Fog Cloud: The Cloud Giant can create within a single point in a 120-foot range a 20-foot radius fog cloud. It heavily obscures a creature's sight. This cloud can remain around for 1 hour.
  • Light: The Cloud Giant can make an object shed a bright light that's comparable to a torch. The object can't be bigger than 10 feet in dimensions and the light remains on the object for an hour.

3 Times Per Day:

  • Feather Fall: While they are falling from a high place the Cloud Giant can as a reaction use this spell to slow down their descent.
  • Fly: The Cloud Giant can grant one creature it touches the ability to fly for 10 minutes.
  • Misty Step: The Cloud Giant can teleport to a spot it sees within 30 feet of itself.
  • Telekinesis: For 10 minutes the Cloud Giant can telekinetically move up to 1,000 pounds freely. This can be used to manipulate simple tools or forcibly move around other creatures.

1 Per Day:

  • Control Weather: The Cloud Giant can take control of the weather within a 5-mile radius. By focusing for 10 to 40 minutes at a time they can gradually make it go from unbearably hot to as cold in the arctics among other weather conditions.
  • Gaseous Form: The Cloud Giant can transform a willing creature into a cloud of gas, letting it fly around. In this form, the Cloud Giant is unable to use objects or cast other spells.

Alongside a Cloud Giant's regular abilities, the Smiling One has:

  • Change Shape: The Smiling One can freely transform into any humanoid or beast it has seen, with its current equipment being absorbed into its new form. Outside dimensions, all their stats and abilities are the same.

Cantrips:

  • Minor Illusion: This allows the Smiling One to either create a single sound of varying volume or a static image of up to 5 feet big. The image can't produce sound, or smell and if it interacted with the subject quickly discovers its nature as an illusion.
  • Prestidigitation: With a variety of small magical tricks, the Cloud Giants can do many things with this spell, including:
    • Chill or warm objects.
    • Make a small illusion within your hand.
    • Add flavor to an object or create harmless sensory effects.
    • Snuff out small flames such as candles, torches, and campfires.
  • Vicious Mockery: Through enchanted insults the Smiling One can harm the psyche of enemies, making it harder for them to attack afterward.

1st level (4 slots):

  • Cure Wounds: The Smiling One can cure a creature it touches with this spell.
  • Disguise Self: The Smiling One can make themself appear as any creature dressed in anything they want; the only limits are that they must have the same body type and can't have a size difference greater than 1 foot. If one inspects the person, they can easily find out about the illusion.
  • Silent Image: The Smiling One can conjure an image of any object as long as it's not larger than a 15-foot cube, and they can make said image move in a way that appears natural. This spell can be maintained for up to 10 minutes and only produces visuals.
  • Tasha's Hideous Laughter: The Smiling One can choose a creature he sees and make them find everything hilarious to such a degree that they can only fall prone and laugh. This spell persists for one minute, and each time the target is harmed the chance of them breaking free from the spell increases. It can't affect beings that have animal-like intelligence.

2nd level (3 slots):

  • Invisibility: A creature that the Smiling One touches will become invisible, with the invisibility disappearing if they attack or use magic. If this spell is upcast, the Smiling One can turn an additional creature invisible.
  • Suggestion: The Smiling One can magically influence a target to do an action he wants, although he can't ask them to do stuff that will obviously cause them harm such as stabbing themselves. This spell can last 8 hours, although if the creature under its effect can accomplish what was asked of them earlier the spell will also end earlier.

3rd level (2 slots):

  • Major Image: An improved version of Silent Image, the object can now be a 20-feet cube in size and it now includes sounds, smells, and so on as part of the illusion.
  • Tongues: The Smiling One can grant a creature it touches the ability to understand any spoken language. This effect lasts for an hour.
