Summary
Chongyun is a playable character from Genshin Impact. He is a young exorcist from Liyue Harbor who has achieved exemplary results, not from his training and skill but from his innate abundance of Yang essence. His pure Yang energy causes Chongyun to release a passive aura harmful to the Yin energy of spiritual entities, causing them to flee in fear. However, Chongyun cannot deal with spicy food or anything that warms him up, less he loses control and becomes overly excited, and eventually faint. Chongyun is close friends with Hu Tao, Xiangling, and Xingqiu and is usually the result of pranks by the latter. Due to his lack of social interaction, he has difficulty picking up on social cues.

Weaknesses: Chongyun was born with excessive Yang (positive) energy, which can be a double-edged sword. The abundance of positive energy helps him exorcise spirits. Yet, it also makes him sensitive to high temperatures and strong emotions. His health will suffer if he does not take regular steps to manage it, for example, eating something cold or calming his mind.
Notable Attacks and Techniques:
- Spirit Blade: Chonghua's Layered Frost: The greatsword strike of Chongyun deals ice-based area damage. The ice explosion generates a Chonghua Frost Field that will infuse all melee attacks with ice energy.
- Spirit Blade: Cloud-Parting Star: Chongyun performs secret hand seals to summon 3 giant spirit blades in midair, which explode as they fall.
