Summary

Chi-Chi is the former princess of Fire Mountain and the daughter of the Ox-King who later marries Goku and becomes the loving mother of Gohan and Goten. She was first introduced as a shy and fearful girl, but later, as she gets older, develops a very tomboyish, tough and fierce personality, which sometimes causes her to have anger outbursts seen several times throughout the series. Despite this, she has shown her love for Goku and their sons many times throughout the series.

Attack Potency: Wall level (Decapitated a Tyrannosaurus rex while frightened. Knocked Goku off of the Nimbus.) possibly Building level (Should scale to her durability, managed to stab Master Roshi with her helmet's blade), higher with laser (Caused this much destruction and completely smoked and blackened a dinosaur with a single blast) | Unknown (Trained for years in preparation for her reunion with Goku and is far more powerful as a result. Forced Goku in the 23rd Budokai to put in effort)

Speed: Likely Superhuman (Vastly outran a Tyrannosaurus Rex and decapitated it before it could strike. Should be comparable to Goku at the time) | Sub-Relativistic+ (Is much faster and more skilled than before, having trained for several years. Kept up with an extremely suppressed Goku during the 23rd Budokai, matching his superhuman speed as the two leapt into the air)

Lifting Strength: Unknown

Striking Strength: Unknown | Unknown (Effortlessly knocked out Idasa and Ikose's mother in one strike. Knocked down a bulky martial artist with a knee)

Durability: Likely Building level (Survived but was rendered unconscious by an angered blow to the back of her head from Yamcha who was able to damage Goku. Was unscathed after crashing into a rock formation on the Nimbus) | Unknown (Is much stronger than before, having trained for years. Took no damage from dropping from tens of meters in the air and tanked an extremely suppressed Goku's kiai. Survived being smacked through a wall, a tree, and a boulder, shattering it, albeit with a broken arm, during the Android Saga)

Stamina: Unknown (Quickly recovered from crashing into a rock formation on the Nimbus cloud as a child, being knocked into a wall by Goku's kiai during the 23rd Budokai, and from being smacked through a wall, a tree, and a boulder by Goku after his training on Yardrat)

Range: Standard melee range. Several meters with her helmet's blade and lasers. | Standard melee range.

Standard Equipment: As a kid, she owned a helmet which provided her with a detachable, boomerang blade, and the ability to fire lasers that create explosions and burn its targets. | None notable.

  • Optional Equipment: Sword

Intelligence: Academically, Chi-Chi was the one who tutored Gohan since his youth and pushed him to become a scholar, meaning she should have comparable, if not superior intellect. In terms of combat, she is incredibly proficient in martial arts, having trained under her father the Ox-King, who previously studied under the invincible Turtle Hermit as his #2 disciple, second to Grandpa Gohan, since childhood. After training for years on end, waiting for her reunion with Goku, her skills became so refined that Roshi himself considered her to be a master of martial arts, praising her ability and even stating her style and technique resembled his own. In between the Cell Games and the Buu Saga, she also taught her son Goten kumite and the basics of martial arts, enough to impress the adolescent Gohan.

Weaknesses: Unlike Videl, she cannot use ki and thus cannot fly. She has a tendency to overreact to situations, such as when she impulsively attacked Yamcha as a child, believing him to be another bad guy. As an adult, she has developed a genuine short temper.

Notable Attacks/Techniques:

  • Cutter Throw: An attack where she throws the cutter worn on her helmet at her opponent. The cutter slices through her opponent, then returns to her like a boomerang.
  • Helmet Laser Beam: Chi-Chi fires a laser beam out of her helmet.

None notable.

Note: The instances in which she intimidated and frightened the Z-Fighters, including Son Goku and Piccolo, are clearly for comedic effect and not actual feats.
