~ Cayde-6 |
Summary
Cayde-6 is an Exo Guardian and the Hunter Vanguard, overseeing Guardians of the Hunter Class. He used to run with a crew of Hunters that was famous for its exploits. He and his best friend, Andal Brask, took part in the Vanguard Dare after their crew was attacked by Taniks, the Scarred. The one who failed to take down the legendary Fallen mercenary would become the next Hunter Vanguard. Cayde-6 won the bet and Andal Brask joined the Vanguard. However, Taniks had survived and would later return to kill Andal, prompting Cayde-6 to hunt him down again. After seemingly killing him this time, Cayde-6 would be promoted to be the new Hunter Vanguard.
During the events of Forsaken, Cayde-6 and the Guardian were called in to deal with a prison riot within the Prison of Elders. In actuality it was a prison break, orchestrated by the Awoken Prince, Uldren Sov, and the Scorn Barons. After being separated from the Guardian, Cayde-6 would face this group's Scorn forces on his own. Though he managed to defeat the Scorn underlings, he and his Ghost, Sundace, were assassinated immediately afterwards by the Barons and Uldren Sov. Cayde-6 died in the Guardian's arms and the Vanguard was once more without a Hunter.
