Summary
Cletus Kasady was a convicted and trialed serial killer sentenced to death by the state. On his final visit, he called upon Eddie Brock to speak with him, antagonizing him and invoking Venom to attack him, biting Eddie's hand as he reaches Cletus' cell, infecting himself with a portion of Venom.
This small portion of Venom bonded with Cletus, and upon his sentence being brought through, the Symbiote stopped the poison from reaching Cletus' body, forming into a hulking creature Cletus named Carnage. The Symbiote had an unrelenting hatred for the Symbiote that spawned it, and worked with Cletus to find and avenge his love, and kill Venom.

Weaknesses: Symbiotes can be weakened and forcibly removed from its host if exposed to powerful sound vibrations, radiation up to 4,000 hertz, high levels of heat, or by anything that can pass through the symbiote in large amounts of energy. Unlike Eddie, Cletus did not have a true bond with Carnage, thus leading to conflict between the two during battle.

- Blades: Carnage can create blades from his body which are capable of slicing through cars with ease, and harming Venom
- Tendrils: Carnage's tendrils can lift it into the air, launch it forward at high speeds, lift and trash cars, smash through walls, and even stab through Venom
- Spikes: Carnage is capable of releasing spiked projectiles from its body at high speeds, which could pierce through Venom
- Body Control: Carnage was able to manipulate its own body to huge degrees, often barely having a humanoid form, Carnage is also capable of opening holes in its own body to avoid gunfire, and much more
