Summary
Vicente Souza, or Capitão as he is known by his fellow BOPE operators, joined the police forces of Brazil following high school. During a raid he was captured and taken hostage for two months – an experience that cost him his eye and great scarring to his body.
As CORE (the division he belonged to) discussed removing him from duty, he signed up to test new equipment in the field. After joining the program he was signed up to BOPE and, eventually, Team Rainbow.
