Summary
McCoy was a treasure hunter for hire with his biggest client being Hex Hatfield, a crime boss in Cactus Canyon. One time Hatfield ordered McCoy to bring him the Thorned Emerald as a treasure. After finding and taking the emerald McCoy fell victim to the Curse of Thorns turning him into a humanoid cactus and thus was born Cactus McCoy.
