~ One of Bridget's taunts

Summary

Bridget was born in a village in England where the birth of twins of the same gender was considered bad luck, and one twin was traditionally sacrificed or exiled in that case. Her parents were unwilling to lose one of their children, and instead they decided to raise her as a girl so that they could hide her from the society she was bound to live with. Bridget loved her parents and did her best effort to live a life in disguise to keep them from worrying, but even then she could see her parents feeling guilty for what they did. Eventually Bridget started to believe that, if she could leave and come back with enough money, then perhaps the village will be able to see there was nothing to their superstitions. Not long, after as if in answer to her prayers, she heard about a bounty for a Gear in the forest of demons and decided to become a bounty hunter, accompanied by her possessed teddy bear, Roger.

After achieving success as a bounty hunter and successfully putting an end to the superstition, she tried living as a man for a while, but found no satisfaction in it. Goldlewis Dickinson sought her out to add Roger to his cryptid collection, and conversing with him helped her arrive at the conclusion that her true identity was that of a woman.
