Summary
Bowser is the main antagonist of The Super Mario Bros. Movie. produced by Illumination based on the video game character of the same name. He is the tyrannical ruler of the Dark Lands, the King of the Koopas, and described as "the most evil, wretched creature alive". Bowser is a ferocious, power-hungry villain who plots to conquer the world by stealing the Super Star, the strongest power-up in existence.
Bowser is described as "evil personified" on the surface while also possessing a "vulnerable, silly side".[1] He has been sworn enemies with Princess Peach for years, whom he is also comically infatuated with. In the film, Bowser views Mario as a rival in his bid to win Princess Peach's hand in marriage, prompting him to kidnap his brother, Luigi, and attempt to have him executed out of spite.
