Blindside

“Maybe. But he’s at least smart enough to know that if he crosses me he’s going to have to watch his back. You know why he’s going to have to watch his back? Because I’ll be there, walking up to his front, grabbing his dick and balls, and cutting ’em off.”

Summary

Blindside is a villainous mercenary in Ward. A powerful Stranger, Blindside is impossible to look or aim at due to their power, and first came into conflict with Victoria Dallon during the Norfair Community Center Attack. Blindside later was hired by Teacher to oppose Goddess' group during the attack on the parahuman prison, and was never seen again after successfully barring Victoria's group from an exit tunnel.

Much later, a Stranger on Earth Cheit underwent a broken second trigger and became The Strange Titan. Very little is known about it besides a universal inability to perceive or aim at it, and a new power that lets it shatter the minds of those caught in its gaze.

Powers and Stats

Tier: 9-C | At least High 8-C, possibly High 7-C

Key: Blindside | Titan

Name: Unknown, Blindside, The Strange Titan, The Blind Titan

Origin: Parahumans (Verse)

Gender: Unknown

Age: Unknown

Classification: Parahuman (Stranger) | Titan

Powers and Abilities: Peak Human Physical Characteristics, Martial Arts,[1] Electricity Manipulation (Carries a taser[2]), Body Puppetry (Blindside's power forces people to not look[3] or aim[4] at them, with any muscles that get too close seizing up involuntarily.[5] This can be lethal.[6] This effect extends to pointing,[7] pointing weapons,[8][9] directing powers,[10][11] and even technology.[12][13] Blindside's effect would override Taylor Hebert's control over her bugs[14]), Resistance to Precognition, Enhanced Senses (Blocked Goddess' danger sense[15]), likely many more (Powers can't be directed at Blindside, and they allude to being a Thinker blind spot) | Same as before to a much higher degree (Nothing humanity has access to is able to perceive or be directed at it.[16] Even attempting to observe it is impossible[17]), Superhuman Physical Characteristics, Longevity, Perception Manipulation, Madness Manipulation (The Blind/Strange Titan is capable of inducing horrific hallucinations[18] on those too near and driving people into suicidal insanity with a glance[19]), Resistance to Power Nullification (Seemingly unaffected by the bombing of Shardspace), Precognition, Enhanced Senses, likely many more (Besides Fortuna incorporating it into her network and possibly The Simurgh's precognition, there are no known powers that can be directed at The Blind/Strange Titan)

Attack Potency: Street level (Fought Victoria Dallon, used a metal bat and a pistol, could break jaws[20]) | At least Large Building level+ (Titans are stronger than The Simurgh[21]), possibly Large Town level (May be comparable to The Ashen Titan, who incinerated a city block)

Speed: At least Peak Human (Fought and threw Victoria in close quarters, but Blindside's power hampers her ability to fight in melee) | Subsonic (Titans are comparable to capes such as Legend)

Lifting Strength: Athletic Human | Unknown

Striking Strength: Street level | At least Large Building level+, possibly Large Town level

Durability: Street level (Took a hit from Victoria that was hard enough to bounce them off a truck,[22] with them going down having been a fakeout[23]) | Mountain level (While he damages them very significantly, Titans can take hits from Titan Dauntless)

Stamina: Above Average as a person, having been a professional villain with a power they can't turn off for several years. Superhuman as a Titan. According to Tattletale, Shards wouldn't start to run out of power until 300 years down the line.

Range: Extended Melee Range with power and weapons, Tens of Meters with taser and pistol | Kilometers (2.9 miles with insanity; Visual range)

Standard Equipment: Metal bat, taser, gun

Intelligence: Blindside's been a cape for several years, already being prepared to deal with many workarounds to their power and capable of faking out Victoria Dallon. Ultimately forced Breakthrough to retreat, by manipulating the prison situation to their benefit. Unknown as a Titan. Some Titans are shown to be mostly animistic, like Skadi and the Nemean Titan, while other titans are capable of stalemating The Simurgh.

Weaknesses: One can face Blindside if their eyes are closed | None notable

Note: While it hasn't been directly confirmed, the similarities between their two powers and the way that nothing has been heard about Blindside since Arc 9 makes it very likely that Blindside became The Strange/Blind Titan. Their abilities make getting any sort of confirmation difficult.
