Summary
Black Orchid, often abbreviated as B. Orchid, is one of the main characters of the classic Killer Instinct video game series. She is a Japanese secret agent who works for an international spy organization, and her mission was to expose and take down the evil company Ultratech. However, retrieving the necessary evidence had proven impossible, so B. Orchid decided to head straight to the core of Ultratech and enter the Killer Instinct tournament, a competition organized by the company to test their newest creatures against the best fighters in the world.
B. Orchid managed to reach advanced positions and face off against Ultratech's trump card: the warlord Eyedol. Eventually, B. Orchid was the one who came out on top, ending the fiend's life at the end of their match, but also setting up a series of events that would lead to her being transported 2000 years in the past, alongside many other fighters and places. In the ancient era, B. Orchid's new task is to take down a second warlord known as Gargos. On her way, she will also encounter the mad lycanthrope Sabrewulf and her long-lost brother Jago, although the nature of their bond is unknown to her at first, and this opens the possibility for several different endings.

Her talent also extends to combat, as she possesses a unique fighting style that mixes melee weapons, kicks, acrobatics and several supernatural powers. After performing extended investigations on Ultratech, she participated in the Killer Instinct Tournament, where she defeated the demon Eyedol, and later she could confront evenly with various foes of the caliber of Gargos, Jago, Fulgore and Sabrewulf)

Note: B. Orchid's Broadway Force and minor Biological Manipulation come from techniques which are supposed to be gags, and thus they can be restricted in versus matches.
Notable Attacks/Techniques:
- Lasaken: B. Orchid releases a spinning energy projectile that travels forward.
- Tonfa Fire: B. Orchid stretches her tonfas out, shooting two fireballs.
- Fake Tonfa Fire: B. Orchid performs a faint, pretending to release a Tonfa Fire.
- Flick Flak: B. Orchid performs a handstand, splits her leg and hits the opponent with a spinning kick. While returning on her legs, she delivers a second hit with her descending leg.
- Fire Cat: B. Orchid morphs her entire body into a felid-like shape covered in pure energy, then dashes towards the opponent. This move can be turned into a Shadow and a Super Move, increasing speed, damage and number of hits.
- Spinning Sword: B. Orchid pivots on herself and delivers two upward strikes with her sticks, sending the opponent flying.
- Ichi Ni San: When using sticks, B. Orchid thrusts both of them into the opponent. She can perform two follow up (Ni and San) constinting in two overhead strikes delivered with each stick. This move can become a Shadow Move, which is faster and deals more damage. When using tonfas, B. Orchid delivers a downward strike, which can be followed by several other identical strikes. This version can also be enhanced into a Super Move, increasing the strength of the hit.
- Back Flip: B. Orchid performs a backflip, hitting the opponent with two rising kicks.
- Air Buster: B. Orchid delivers a powerful jumping knee strike.
- Tiger Slide: B. Orchid turns around and slides leg-first towards the opponent.
- Heart Attack: B. Orchid unzips her suit and shows her body to the opponent. This results in males having mixed reaction, but all of them will end up having what seems to be a heart attack due to inexplicable reasons. Female opponents will instead become upset.
- Frog Stomp: B. Orchid points her sticks to the opponent, turning them into a frog. She then violently stomps over them.
- No Mercy III: B. Orchid releases a stream of electricity which chars the opponent to death.
- Humiliation: B. Orchid points her sticks at the defeated opponent, who is then mysteriously forced to dance.
- Fighting Style: B. Orchid is an expert in close-quarters combat and her fighting style mainly revolves around kicks, nimbly alternating them in battle with handheld weapon such as tonfas and Escrima sticks. She is also incredibly agile, being able to chain together several types of kicks mixed with gymnastic maneuvers, including handstands and back handsprings, and even reaching extreme levels of complexity, like propelling herself up into the air by spinning her stretched legs like helicopter blades.
- Throw: B. Orchid grabs the opponent and performs a Tomoe-Nage throw, falling backwards and tossing the opponent in the same direction.
- Parry Move: B. Orchid raises one of her tonfas and blocks an incoming attack. If she follows up with a Special Move, the opponent will be stunned and left unable to react.
