“ | Understand, Meat, that I am quite familiar with your feeble kind. My people ruled the whole of Merrouroboros while your ancestors cowered in caves and banged rocks together to create fire. | „ |

“ | The agenda of your Lord Kossuth is not so different from my own. Fire burns in both our hearts, and together we can scatter the armies of your enemies and sow chaos throughout the land. Speak now the rite of unbinding, and you can command power greater than that of any pathetic zulkir. All shall bow before the Order of the Black Flame and tremble before the fury of the Firebringer. | „ |

Summary
Bazim-Gorag the Firebringer is an elite and powerful Death Slaadi, a race of evil reptilian outsiders. Summoned long ago to battle an army of barbarians invading a corrupted mage college, he demanded too high a price of the wizards who called on him, and was sealed away, imprisoned deep below their college. Years later, the college was attacked again and brought to ruin, burying Bazim-Gorag far below for thousands of years, only recently becoming uncovered. His cult of loyal worshipers, though small, work tirelessly towards uncovering the secret to unsealing him and unleashing him upon the world once more.
Before his imprisonment, Bazim was a lord of the Batrachi and among the mightiest of their race, and certainly the mightiest that remained. His species was brought low tens of thousands of years ago by the gods themselves (and Asgorath in particular) after they attempted to summon several Primordials to destroy their enemies. It is believed that the Pandemonium Stone, that which created the Slaad, is a relic of the Batrachi and Bazim-Gorag, its keeper. Other piscine races also apparently owe their existence to the Firebringer's people, including the Kuo-Toa, Doppelgangers, and Bullywugs. To further cement these beliefs, Ramenos, the god of the forsaken Bullywugs, is in fact the god of the Batrachi at the height of their power.
