The series is set in the post-apocalyptic future and focuses on Alita, a cyborg who has lost all memories and is found in a dump heap by a cyberphysician who rebuilds and takes care of her. She discovers that there is one thing she remembers, the legendary cyborg martial art Panzer Kunst, which leads to her becoming a hunter-warrior. The story traces Alita's attempts to rediscover her past and the characters whose lives she impacts on her journey. The manga series is continued in Battle Angel Alita: Last Order. Last order expands on the setting of the verse from that of a planet to that of the solar system and revolves around the fate of the inhabitants of the authorities of the solar system. A third part of the series: Mars Chronicles is ongoing and starts out centuries before the other 2 parts, then it skips to the present. It explains the origins of Alita and the current state of affairs.
Power of the Verse
The power of this verse varies from low end to high end. At its low end, there are Street level human and cyborg fighters, while at high end, there are beings who can casually level Islands, and produce Continent level energy or more. There are also some characters that can regenerate (on various degrees). The exact level of power of the high end is Low Complex Multiverse level. Hax techniques include anti matter creation, use of zero-point energy (which gives unlimited energy supply- like androids in dbz), black hole production (latter is associated with reality warping and use of an inexhaustible and limitless power source) and a device known as D-Ripper (which itself is high multiverse level+ in power). The hax are used by the very top/ god tiers and high tiers of this verse. This verse also relies heavily on technology of various aspects.
