~ Basilisk to Altaïr, 1190 |
Summary
Basilisk (died 1190) was the de facto leader of the Knights Templar in 1190, presiding over the Crusaders' search for the mysterious relic known as the Chalice.
Powers and Stats
Tier: At least 9-A, higher with his broadsword
Name: Basilisk
Origin: Assassin's Creed: Altaïr's Chronicles
Gender: Male
Age: Unknown
Classification: Human, Knight, Leader of the Templars
Powers and Abilities: Superhuman Physical Characteristics, Expert Swordsman, Adept hand-to-hand combatant, Capable Leader and tactician, possibly Regeneration (At least Mid-Low, healed from repeated neck-stabbing attempts by Altaïr)
Attack Potency: At least Small Building level+ (Physically dwarved Altaïr in both size and strength, forcing the Assassin to resort to his agility, speed and versatility), higher with his broadsword
Speed: At least Subsonic (Repeatedly shown as being vastly slower than Altaïr. However, fodder Templars can casually react to and outpace crossbow bolts at point-blank range, with Basilisk being vastly superior to them despite his size)
Lifting Strength: At least Class 5 (Dwarved Altaïr in both size and strength, and could casually ragdoll the Assassin around with just one arm. Wielded a gigantic broadsword)
Striking Strength: At least Small Building level+
Durability: At least Small Building level+ (Altaïr could only damage him with his sword, and even then it took a ridiculously long amount of time to do so), higher with his armor
Stamina: Very high (Survived repeated attempts of being stabbed in the neck by Altaïr and could still fight in peak condition)
Range: Extended melee range due to his sheer size, Several Meters with his broadsword
Standard Equipment: His Templar Armor and broadsword
Intelligence: Above Average. In battle, Basilisk wielded a greatsword compatible with his indomitable strength and ferocity, yet what he had in power, he lost in mobility. This trade-off was heavily exploited by the swift Altaïr Ibn-La'Ahad in their duels, whose engagements rarely involved parrying his attacks. In spite of his multiple fights with this Assassin, Basilisk never proved capable of adapting to Altaïr's superior agility. His great strength weighed little against one whose acrobatics allowed him to tumble behind him with ease. Even so, it sufficed against many of his previous opponents, as he called Altaïr his first real challenge.
Weaknesses: His immense size makes him less agile and severely inhibits his movement.
