Valefar: An interesting weapon, Faraii.

Faraii: Acquired in an interesting way, Lord Prime Minister. As part of a ritual of acceptance into one of the local Waste tribes I had to hunt and kill what they call a Great Gouger, and take its skull-spine for a weapon. They are regarded as the tribe's totem and are formidable creatures standing nearly thirty feet high.

Eligor: Did you use an Art Martial to kill it?

Faraii: That would not have been acceptable. The tribes are neither demon nor soul but, as you know, were here before us. They live an austere life out there, and rely on nothing but their cunning and traditional skills to combat the elements. As a sign of respect to their culture, I killed it with their simplest weapon—a heavy sling.

~ Faraii to Valefar and Eligor

Summary

Baron Faraii was a Waste-Wanderer- a demon who, after the Fall, did not immediately join his kin in their infernal society, opting instead to live amongst the wilds as a nomad and vagabond. After some time, he came to the City of Dis, and joined the Order of the Fly as one of its greater Knights under the command of Adramalik and, ultimately, The Fly himself. He was sent to Adamantinarx, realm of Sargatanas, to serve as Beelzebub's pawn.

In Adamantinarx, Faraii served as a marshal of its shock trooper legions, and earned distinction for his great skill in battle. He ranked amongst Sargatanas' inner circle, alongside Valefar and Eligor, and was a welcomed member of their society until he allowed Astaroth to be killed against Sargatanas' orders. Immediately following this, Beelzebub reeled him back in and took direct control over him, forcing Faraii to betray his once-allies at the Battle of the Flaming Cut and ultimately kill Valefar.

Referred to as "Husk Faraii" by Adramalik, this new state of being seemed to have no fragment of the old left in it- he was wholly subdued by The Fly, who used him as a puppet- first in the killing of Lucifuge Rofocale, then in the Battle of Dis, where he fought Metaphrax and Eligor. Faraii met his end when the latter of his enemies successfully punctured his body with his lance.

Some time after Faraii's death, and Sargatanas' ascension to the Above, Faraii was resurrected by Abaddon, who chose him as a sort of gatekeeper to Abaddon's realm. His form altered, Faraii would recruit Adramalik to Abaddon's side in order to cleanse Hell of its demons, ultimately leading Faraii to once again battle Eligor- this time, Eligor would cleave the raised demon's head from his shoulders, finally putting the good Baron to rest.

Attack Potency: At least Building level (Ought to be more powerful than demons such as Eligor and comparable to entities such as Adramalik, as a fellow high-ranking member of the Knights of the Order of the Fly), possibly higher (Although Eligor doubted Faraii himself could match him, he was still going to do battle with Moloch; killed a heavily weakened and wounded Valefar) | At least City Block level (Husk Faraii quickly and easily overpowered a surprised Lucifuge Rofocale, allowing him to be killed off properly by Beelzebub) | At least City Block level, likely higher (Fought Demon Major Eligor, and therefore should be comparable to lesser gods like Moloch)

Speed: At least Superhuman movement speed (Demons, as beings proportionally taller than humans, should have an average run speed of about 12.7 m/s; Faraii is described as being far quicker than his peers and was capable of fighting a 30-foot tall Gouger, who should have speeds approaching 20-30 m/s), at least Subsonic+ combat speed (Can easily battle flying enemies who serve in Sargatanas' Flying Guard; was noted to be "blindingly quick" in comparison to other Demons Minor such as Eligor)

Lifting Strength: At least Class 5, likely far higher (Should be greater than Eligor as his noted superior in strength, who could lift two legionaries with his lance, totaling about 4 metric tons) | Likely Class K (As a Husk, Faraii was able to grapple and totally restrain Lucifuge Rofocale, a Demon Major who was in all likelihood Sargatanas' equal at the start of the book) | Class K (Easily comparable to Demon Major Eligor)

Striking Strength: At least Building level (Comparable to demons such as Adramalik and other high-ranking Knights of the Order) | At least City Block level (Comparable to Demons Major such as Lucifuge Rofocale) | At least City Block level, likely higher (Comparable to Eligor, and was even fairly close to beating him, per Eligor's own confession)

Durability: At least Building level (Faraii was considerably superior to Demons Minor such as Eligor, and was likely comparable to Adramalik in terms of raw power, as two major members of the Knights of the Order) | At least City Block level (Faraii was unfettered by Lucifuge Rofocale's attempts to break free, and required the power of both Eligor and an absorbed Knight of the Order to match even for a moment) | At least City Block level, likely higher

Stamina: Superhuman, even Demons Minor could make the weeks-long trip between Askad and Dis severely wounded with no rest[30]; Before his time in Dis and Adamantinarx, Faraii spent millennia wandering with little rest amongst the Salamandrine Man

Range: Several Meters, at least Thousands of Meters with Glyphs (Glyphs are used on the battlefield to create sigils of fire that span the entire battlefield, issuing commands and firing projectiles; any Demon General, including Faraii, ought to easily replicate such a range)

Standard Equipment: Gouger's Spine AKA The Black Sword

Intelligence: At least Genius, Faraii is regarded as a scholar amongst scholars, granted even greater status by the wide range of his intellect and the esoteric topics included; Faraii taught Eligor, a great scholar in his own right, for millennia of his times in the Wastes, of his fighting techniques and strategies employed in battle

Weaknesses: Faraii is greatly annoyed by weakness and may become insubordinate when confronted with orders to avoid destroying such weakness
