Summary

Balam Shichiro is one of the staff of Babyls Demon School. He is a teacher specializing in the biology of all the creatures in the netherworld and the Imaginary Things Research Division, which is in charge of studying the beings from the human world.

Along with his friend Naberius Kalego, he is one of the strongest persons in Babyls as the other Cheth Rank (Rank 8) demon in the school.

As a professor of extinct species [creatures from the human world are supposed to be extinct in the netherworld view] in the prestigious Babyls, Balam is an expert in his field with academic books wrote by him. The teachers in Babyls are among the best in the netherworld. But he can not only create academic books, but he can also even make picture books to teach in an easier way for students and children, so anyone can become able to learn about other creatures. However, Balam is not only smart academically speaking, but he also possesses great fighting and magical capabilities, to the point of being the only other Chet Rank demon in Babyls besides Kalego. Due to his knowledge as a biology teacher he knows the strength and weakness of other creatures, something that he can use for combat purposes. Won the Harvest Festival in his first year as a student, something that only those who in the future would become big figures of the netherworld have accomplished, as that's a feat worthy of becoming a young candidate for Demon King, and he won without hurting any creature by just using his biology knowledge. Can prepare medicine. Even if his Buzzer doesn't activate, he can notice when someone lies based on their behaviors. Even when he was a first-year student at Babyls, he had already earned himself the Daleth Rank, and could casually notice the effects that a drug had in someone)

Weaknesses: Due to the use of plants to fight, they are weak against fire. However, despite their weakness to fire, even the breath of the Carmine Dragon was unable to damage the Nigipnir of Balam because it was made from his strong mana, so unless the opponent is at least as strong as him, their fire will not do anything to his plants

• Buzzer (Lie Detector): His bloodline magic lets him detect if a target is lying or being dishonest. By using it along with other magic, he can detect any falsehood over a great area, like for example by spreading pools of water over all the students of Babyls to see if they cheat on their exams.
• Nigipnir (Wooden Dragon): Using a cousing of the Nigi-Nigi, a plant that grows 30 meters with a single droplet of water, Balam uses his mana to grow and control it. With it, Balam can create a giant wooden dragon that is as big as the Carmine Dragon, on top of being far stronger than it due to be made with Balam mana. While technically weak to fire, even the Carmine Dragon breath couldn't damage it, so it's needed a fire at least far stronger than that for it to do any actual damage.
• Niguul Hug: Balam makes plants frow from his punch and traps the energy in a lock that crushes them.
• Forced Evil Cycle: Balam developed a medicine that forced an Evil Cycle and developed a technique to enter their Evil Cycle at will. By entering this state, his abilities greatly increase as his maximum power is drawn out. However, this increase in power comes at the cost of his mana being greatly consumed and losing his rationality as he enters an Evil Cycle stronger than normal, which is very close to the Demons Return to Origin, so his personality changes to a sadistic one. Due to how dangerous this ability is, it should only be used along with a partner who knows the safeword able to awaken him. In his case, this partner is unknown, though one could assume it's Kalego from their close relationship.
• Grand Cocoon: A spell that creates an omnidirectional barrier from the ground which protects those inside from any harm.
• La Fire: A spell that create fire.
• Cherusil (Transform): A basic transfiguration spell that lets the caster change the color and shape of the target. It can be used for miscellaneous things as changing someone's clothes, or in a more combat-related sense like the creation of defenses.
• Acceleration: A spell that increases the user's speed and agility.
• Libera: A spell that allows the caster to throw a strong projectile. If a large amount of mana is used, it can even unleash a monster-shaped magical attack that flies far away.
• Fractal: A gravity manipulation spell that regulates weight. If used well allow to fly and immobilize targets, so it's a spell that if mastered comes in handy.
• Quan Quan: A spell that lets a plant grow the way the caster has imaged.
• Gran (Protection): A basic spell which creates a defensive barrier. If one knows how to use it correctly it can defend against any type of magic.
