Looks like my luck has changed. Shitty luck, but luck all the same. I'm gonna knock this last homer outta the goddamn park!

Summary

The father of Bad Girl, Badman, real name Shigeki Birkin, was an ex-pro baseball player and low level thug for the mafia, when he was caught in an ambush and shot in the head. Tortured by a colleague for his failure, something awakened within Shigeki, activating a killer instinct, which was noticed by a higher-up called Greco, who turned him into a hitman. Although Badman was incredibly successful at his job, Greco intuited that his daughter, then known as Charlotte Birkin, would have even more potential. Torturing her with near-fatal electric shocks, Charlotte's mind broke, and she became an assassin known as Bad Girl in the United Assassin Association, climbing up to the #2 rank, where she was killed by Travis Touchdown in a ranking match, which Badman witnessed through video.

After killing Greco in revenge, Badman hunted down Travis for several years, until he finally found him hiding away from society in a trailer. Badman attacked him, but their fight was interrupted when the Death Drive, a cursed video game console that Travis was playing on reacted to Badman's Death Ball, a video game cartridge designed for it, and sucked both of them in. Realizing the Death Drive's ability to make wishes come true could bring back Bad Girl, Badman immediately stopped fighting Travis, and together they collected all the Death Balls and completed their games, managing to bring Bad Girl back to life. However, realizing she was no longer the girl he knew, Badman left without exchanging a single word with her, although still happy to have resurrected her.

Powers and Stats

Tier: At least 7-C, At least 9-A, likely 8-B within the Death Drive Mk. II | High 5-A

Key: Travis Strikes Again | No More Heroes III

Name: Shigeki Birkin, now known as Badman

Origin: No More Heroes

Gender: Male

Age: In his 40/50s

Classification:

Powers and Abilities:

Superhuman Physical Characteristics, Weapon Mastery (Badman is a highly skilled fighter capable of eliminating hundreds of opponents in a single fight, and has studied how to kill a man with a bat swing no matter the position), Martial Arts, Breaking the Fourth Wall (Told Travis not to "butter up the gamers" when he introduced himself to the player in Travis Strikes Again), Extrasensory Perception and Precognition (Able to sense bloodlust like Travis. There are many examples of normal people in Suda51's games being capable of instinctually sensing or perceiving things they could otherwise not know, with some examples being shown by entire groups or populations of people. As a capable combatant, his instincts should be far superior to those of the average person), Instinctive Reaction (Before learning how to fight and kill, Badman was already able to deflect a ball flying at him at deadly speed while both knocked out and blindfolded. Using a baseball bat allows him to fight purely with instinct- A fighter's instincts are honed as they become more powerful, with even people such as pro bikers being capable of entering a state where their bodies react to issues automatically and entire species of alien warriors being capable of fighting through sheer instinct. Various highly skilled fighters such as Travis Touchdown, Shinobu Jacobs or The Killer7 have shown the ability to predict attacks instinctually), Empowerment (Via leveling up. Furthermore, the more he kills, the more he does damage, eventually building up enough power for an AOE attack), Energy Manipulation (Can create energy constructs around his attacks), Reactive Power Level (His weapon's power will grow with multiple hits), Wish-Granting (The Death drive MK-II can grant people's wishes), Teleportation (Can teleport back to his original position when falling into a pit), Electricity Manipulation via Wing Chip, Absorption with Dendrobium Chip (Drains nearby characters’ stamina to fuel an attack), Thread Manipulation via ∞ Justice Chip, Afterimage Creation via F91 Chip, Energy Manipulation via Strike Freedom Chip (Calls a guided laser from an orbiting satellite), Explosion Manipulation via Physalis Chip (Spreads gas that can be lit for an explosion), Double X Chip and Atlas Chip (Throws a sticky bomb), Weapon Creation (Turrets) via Crossbone Chip, Telekinesis via Shining Chip, Time Manipulation via Heavy Chip (Slows down time in an area), Gravity Manipulation via Self Chip (Pulls enemy towards the center of an area), Healing via ∀ Chip (Heals self and allies in an area) and Unicorn Chip (Sucks life from surrounding enemies), Invisibility via Ξ Chip, Forcefield Creation via Destroy Chip, Status Effect Inducement via Psycho Chip (Briefly paralyzes targets while damaging them), Energy Manipulation and Limited Attack Reflection via Bad Hop Chip (Shoots a ball of energy whose power is increased when hit back), Statistics Amplification via Triple Crown (Increases power by drinking beer, though drinking too much can incapacitate him briefly), Fusionism via Travisman Formation Chip, Resistance to Extreme Temperatures (Unaffected by the first stage's -20 degrees despite his relatively light clothing. Can walk around the Moon, which reaches temperatures up to 127 C when lit by the sun), Time Manipulation (Can move normally in Yojohan where time moves backwards), Life, Biological, Soul andDarkness Manipulation (Can survive exposure to the demon world's darkness[1], which tears away the lives of man while eating their flesh and consumes their souls[2][3]), Mind Manipulation (His clone was completely unaffected by the AI meant to control him) and Biological Manipulation (Can resist the extreme stress inflicted by the Death Drive, which would normally cause brain damage. While no other human before him had ever completed more than one game on the Death Drive, Badman beat seven without any apparent worsening of his previous condition), Transmutation and Poison Manipulation (Drank a group of poisons all meant to kill him, and one meant to accelerate his transformation into a Heaven Smile, but none of them had any effect), Resistance to Heat Manipulation for his weapon (His baseball bat's core is made of diamond, preventing it from bursting into flames when in contact with Travis' Beam Katana, which it could clash against) Can survive without oxygen on the Moon for a long time.

Avatar Creation (Badman's self within the DDMk-II is only a videogame avatar), Resurrection and Time Manipulation (Only within the Death Drive Mk II, Travis can load a save file upon death, as it is just a videogame to him. Badman can save on toilets, then quit and load to resume from that point. Furthermore, he is equipped with two lives he can use to resurrect on the spot), Statistics Reduction and Statistics Amplification (by changing the game's difficulty, which is something that's canonically at his disposal)

All previous "Everywhere" abilities minus the Death Glove ones.

Attack Potency: At least Town level (Fought Travis, more or less evenly), at least Small Building level, likely City Block level within the Death Drive Mk. II (Comparable to Travis) | Brown Dwarf level (Was able hurt FU and keep him busy for a while, but was eventually overpowered. Should be comparable to Bad Girl and Shinobu Jacobs just like he was in Travis Strikes Again)

Speed: Massively Hypersonic+ combat speed (Comparable to Travis in the real world), Subsonic movement speed (Should be comparable to Travis), at least Superhuman (Can beat the Killer Marathon, which requires at least this level of speed, likely Subsonic (Comparable to Travis Touchdown and Eight Hearts) within the DDMkII (Comparable to Travis and the other playable Death Drive users) | FTL (Was able to tag FU multiple times), Subsonic movement speed

Lifting Strength: Class K (Comparable to Travis and almost overpowered him in a fight), At least Class 10 (Can knock around large enemies or fling them around effortlessly with his telekinesis), likely Class M (Comparable to Travis Touchdown and Eight Hearts) within the DDMkII (Comparable to Travis) | At least Class K (Should be much stronger than his Travis Strikes Again self)

Striking Strength: At least Town level, at least Small Building level, likely City Block level within the DDMkII | Brown Dwarf level

Durability: At least Town level, At least Small Building level, likely City Block level within the DDMkII | Brown Dwarf level

Stamina: Superhuman, and far higher via Instinctive Reaction, as it allows him to fight even when made unconscious from repeated blows

Range: Extended Melee Range with baseball bat, Tens of Meters with the Death Glove's abilities

Standard Equipment: Death Glove and Diamond-Core Baseball Bat

Intelligence: likely Gifted (Despite having a few screws loose, by his own admission, Badman used to be a baseball prodigy, and is now a skilled fighter on par with Travis, having several years of experience headhunting for the mafia)

Weaknesses: Tends to be inebriated during combat, and suffers from brain damage caused by several blows to the head in the past. His abilities exclusive to within the Death Drive are reliant on him being in a videogame, albeit a supernatural one, and thus they cannot be replicated in real life.

Notable Attacks/Techniques:

  • Psycho Chip: Fires three shots from the Death Glove, causing a long stun to those hit by it.
  • 00 Chip: Rapidly dashes, invincible. Has a very quick recharge time.
  • Bad Hope: Exclusive to Badman. Shoots a ball of energy he can reflect back at the enemies to inflict even more damage.
  • Triple Crown: Rapidly chugs beer, increasing his power, although at a chance of briefly fainting.
