Summary

Badgerclops is the deuteragonist of the Cartoon Network series, Mao Mao: Heroes of Pure Heart. In his childhood his spectacular creativity was dismissed by the people around him and he struggled to fit in. Eventually joining a group of cyborg criminals called the Thicket Thieves. It was with them that he met Mao Mao, who helped reinstate his moral standards and let him on board in his quest to becoming a legendary hero. From then on the two worked together, one day crashing into the Ruby Pure Heart and becoming the protectors of Pure Heart Valley alongside the fledgling Sweetypie, Adorabat. Now he serves the village while using his own more laid back, cautious, and sometimes theatric methods when compared to Mao Mao.

Towering over Pure Heart Kingdom[1]), Fragrance Manipulation with Purifying Crystals (The Purifying Crystals[17] expel all toxins from the body, resulting in them becoming an aura that stinks enough to kill plant life, break down machines, melt objects, and make monsters recoil in disgust), Additional Limbs (The smell of his body can form hands to harass people), Breath Attack (Killed Mao Mao’s trees with his breath)

Same as in base, Astral Projection and Dimensional Travel (Attained inner peace,[31] which lets one’s spirit leave their body and travel between the physical world and the Astral Plane which is a higher plane of existence), limited Density Manipulation (The body becomes extremely heavy a spirit leaves it, making even Mao Mao struggle to lift Adorabat when she astral projected), Intangibility (Can become completely untouchable by the physical world, including even his own body if he doesn’t want to get back inside it), Self-Sustenance (Types 2 and 3; Meditatin’ Melvin’s body survived for seemingly a very long period without any sustenance. Is a skilled artist.[1][24][33] Quickly made a plan to launch the Sheriff’s Department into the Sky Pirate’s airship while avoiding being targeted by their laser defense system.[7] Nearly dissipated the Slime Monster by leading it to a large body of water.[36] Helped set up a plan to expose Rufus and Reggie as scam artists and although not as talented at mimicking as Mao Mao, he managed to pass off as Reggie to Rufus despite the two being best friends and long time business partners.[16] Can play the ukulele.[20] Set up a successful “flute” business within a few hours.[32] Came up with a plan to destabilize Orangusnake’s gigantic robot body.[13] Installed a mechanism to boost King Snugglemagne’s confidence.[10] Guessed exactly what Mao Mao had been doing all night.[35] Stated that his Ultra Focus lets him create technology unparalleled by anybody else in the entire field of science.[27] Made a device capable of translating and communicating the thoughts of monsters, talking holograms, a surgical dance chip implant in Mao Mao’s brain and bones, and a large ride with precautions to stop he, Mao Mao, Adorabat, or the Sky Pirates from interrupting the show among other amazing inventions in one night[27])

Weaknesses: Has recurring bouts of being lazy and overly emotional, even in dangerous situations. Can be easily distracted or manipulated by food.[37][6][17][4][38][10] His robotic arm can malfunction when magnetized[2] or corroded. Additionally, it can overheat with foreign material inside.[28][29] The giant effect of Camille’s Locket can make him blow up emotionally if provoked enough.[1] Cannot take personal criticism, lashing out at anything around him or retreating and once ruining a plains because his haircut was made fun of.[17][3][27] Can’t tolerate the smell of his expelled toxins.[17] Suffers from crushing self doubt.[26] He forgets everything the next morning after entering his Ultra Focus state.[27] | His real body is left prone as his spirit leaves it.[31]

Notable Attacks/Techniques:

  • Badger Beam: Badgerclops transforms his robotic arm into a laser cannon, firing powerful blasts which can vaporize even the biggest and toughest of monsters. The blast is powerful enough to threaten foes on his level into submission.
  • Ultra Focus: Bottling up his innate creativity led to Badgerclops’ brain being able to overload itself and make him enter a heightened state of enhanced focus and energy which allows him to work on and complete many technologically complex projects during a short period of time. However these inventions aren’t very practical, being seemingly whatever first comes to mind and Badgerclops is unable to remember anything he exactly did while influenced by Ultra Focus, leading to later confusion.
