Resistance to Void Manipulation (via Shadow Form [Due to lacking a physical body, he can walk between the worlds, where space and time are not present, and survive the erasure that is applied on any person made of flesh and bone]), Physics Manipulation (via Shadow Form [Can interact with the beings that can be harmed exclusively in the metaphysical shadow world, where the laws of physics differ from the real world ones]; Precise Lunge, Shadow Blast, Naginata Flight, Impulse [Shadow Abilities break and defy the laws the physics]), Empathic Manipulation and limited Time Manipulation (As a Herald, Azuma can overcome the many anomalies around the Dome, with some being able to brutalize people into going on raging rampages, and others causing time diffusions, which make time cycle endlessly)

Attack Potency: Building level+, possibly Multi-City Block level (Can defeat Monkey King in combat, who could move mountains and dry up the rivers)

Speed: Speed of Light (Can dodge Fireguard's Evasion shadow ability after the previous used it to dodge Helga's Smite), higher with Shadow Form (With Shadow Energy's help, Azuma can become faster by entering Shadow Form)

Lifting Strength: At least Peak Human (Can grab and throw opponents such as Golden Eraser Jack Bulwark with little issue. Shadow Abilities are linked to the user's own strength, and Azuma can easily throw enemies in the air with the Shadow Blast Shadow Ability, and push them far away with the Impulse Shadow Ability, both of which can also break and defy the very laws of physics)

Striking Strength: Building level+, possibly Multi-City Block level (Can trade blows with Monkey King)

Durability: Building level+, possibly Multi-City Block level (Can take hits from Monkey King)

Stamina: At least High (Can fight up to three opponents as strong as him by himself while sustaining heavy battle wounds, one of these opponents being Jack Bulwark, who would have been able to fight a whole swarm of shadow beasts by himself for 72 hours without rest. With Shadow Energy's help, Azuma can increase his stamina by entering Shadow Form)

Range: Extended Melee Range with his Naginata and Impulse. Several meters with Ice Fangs and Naginata Flight. Standard Melee Range with Shadow Blast.

Standard Equipment:

  • Sharpest Naginata: Increases Azuma's attack damage by +5%.
  • Field Naginata: Increases Azuma's attack damage by +5%.
  • Colonel's Honor: Increases Azuma's attack damage by +5%.
  • Scalpel: Increases Azuma's shadow damage by +7% and defense by +3%. The amounts of Shadow Energy Azuma receives for his attacks is increased.
  • Transfusion: Increases Azuma's attack damage by +5% and defense by +10%. Azuma restores his health after successfully using Consequence Management with his naginata.
  • Ice Fangs: Azuma's Ranged Weapon of choice.

Intelligence: Genius overall, especially in the field of biology and chemistry (As with every Shadow tournament competitor, Azuma is one of the greatest warriors to have ever lived. He is the most notorious Feldsher from the Dome, with Feldshers being known also as scientists with expertise in the field of medicine. As a Herald, Azuma can overcome the many anomalies around the Dome, one of them being his darker side doppelganger, who he can supposedly beat in combat; has his brain boosted to unprecedented levels with the help of Shadow Energy, his intelligence being that of a scientist's; and having spent years learning the nature of Shadow Energy, he knows about it a lot more than others, which frightens both the Dynasty and the Legion warriors. He is also an adept of Heralds' fighting style and weaponry, which are considered as being harder to learn than the ones of the Legion and Dynasty)

Weaknesses: Losing his link with his weapon strips him of the ability to use Shadow Abilities involving said weapon. Azuma cannot accumulate Shadow Energy in worlds in which Shadow Energy does not exist. Like most people of his world, Azuma is not aware of his power to change the fate of the world via the Historical Importance Index mechanism, and thus he doesn't make full use of it by, for example, the possibility of giving up on a specific objective/wish way too easily and early after a few failures.

Notable Attacks/Techniques:

Perks

  • Head Hit: Landing a strike on the enemy's head triggers a Head Hit, making it deal 60% more damage.
  • Critical Hit: Any unblocked hit has a chance to be a Critical Hit, which deals 50% more damage and makes the enemy fall to the ground.
  • Block: Azuma can enter defensive stances to block incoming attacks from the enemy, greatly reducing their damage dealt.
  • Shadow Energy: Azuma has learned to make use of the Shadow Energy present in the world, harnessing it as a weapon to his advantage in battle. With its help, he can become faster, with more stamina and more spectacular moves in defiance of the very laws of physics.
  • Shadow Form: Durring battle, Azuma accumulates Shadow Energy inside of himself. When this Shadow Energy reaches its maximum, Azuma can enter Shadow Form. In this mode, all visuals within Azuma's vision change dramatically. Azuma becomes a shadow and can perform special shadow moves for 10 seconds.

Shadow Abilities

Four powerful special moves. Azuma can only perform these move in Shadow Form. These moves are more spectacular than the ones he is normally capable of performing and can even break the laws of physics.

  • Consequence Management: A successful attack against the opponent will knock them out of Shadow Form, dealing bonus damage.

Talents

  • Long-Term Neutralization: Neutralization lasts longer.
  • Painful Neutralization: When Neutralization ends, the opponent takes damage.
  • Shadow Suppression: Azuma's attacks deal bonus damage if the opponent has a full Shadow Energy bar.

  • Level 9: Increases Azuma's defense by +10%.
  • Level 11: Increases Azuma's attack damage and shadow damage by +5%.
  • Level 12: Increases Azuma's defense by +10%.
  • Level 13: Increases Azuma's attack damage and shadow damage by +5%, and defense by +10%.

Historical Importance Index Mechanism

Historical Importance Index is a mechanism in the Shadow Fight world which allows all people to change the course of world history processes with their wishes, thus being able to change the face of the world based on their personality. Because everybody has access to this power, more often than not their wishes will intercept and clash with each other over which one gets to become reality. The winner whose wish will triumph over the one of his adversary is the one who is simply more important to the world than the other. This is why people who are very important will change the fate of the world with their wishes so suddenly they won't even know how they succeeded so easily, because they don't even have to try much, while those who are less important than the previously mentioned won't be able to change the world with their wishes even if they try harder than the more important people to make them reality, their wishes getting completely overwritten by those of the more important individuals. One's historical importance index is as high as how many other lives they impacted, and how dramatically. The higher the index of historical importance of a person is, the more "luck" they get in all their plans, the more of their wishes will come true.
